Need A New Haircut. HELP!!!

I'm getting an expensive haircut next week. My cousins offered to do it because I "hinted" to him that i needed a new haircut and I wanted A change of style..

I'm getting highlights, and i like my hair pretty spikey..

Whats the best hairstyle these days?No doubt by the time i've chosen my favorite one, it'll be out of fashion anyway.. :P Any suggestions? Pictures would help. x

I'm a guy, by the way. haha!

What ever you do don't get little blonde highlights , they look so stupid , specially when you spike your hair up with them its like err get out the past mate.

I know quite a bit about hair, i been styling it since like nursery and aint stopped k?
Right, i think highlights are out of fashion, and also, only grow your hair like jesse mcartney if you have light hair, dark hair dont suit it, unless your emo type..
im getting 2 on my sides and the back and top of my head will be trimmed, but enough so i can spike, but going diagnol from the bottom left corner of my head, to the top right will be a moehawk kinda thing, like 2 cm longer than my hair, so it blends in, u dont see that often, and i dont mean it like that in the way u dont see it often cos no ones dumb enough to do it.. i dont think anyway,
well yh ill take a pic of my head n show you ze result man.
