depedns if u mean best as gives you most attack bonus or gives you attack bonus and defence, for best attack bouns im saying:

range = black d'hide
melle = full dragon

Range: leather
Melee: bronze

Range: Karils/full black dhide
Melee: Torags

Karils has the same stats as black dhide. (unless you waste your money on the xbow and racks)
So range: black dhide
Melee: I'd say torags, but you can also buy full dharocks, the stats are the same, but it depends if you want to train too, dharocks is very good at the gorillas at Ape Atoll church.
Mage: Ahrims, any mystic, infinity.
