Anyone seen the new one with JDepp in it?

If so, what one do you think is better, The original, or new one?

Johnny Depp isnt a comedy actor. Someone like Rowan Atkinson, or Ben Stiller would have played it better.

Old one ftw. I just think the acting is better etc.

I dont like Jonny Depp but he pulls it off amazingly.

The umpa lumpas just ruin the new one:rolleyes:

both are good, i prefer the new one though because the start of the old one is well boring it takes too long to get into the actual factory.

I like the comedy factor in the new one but i think they ruined the Oompa Lumpa's. Jim Carrey would really have been better suited.

That would just make it worse lol.

They're two different films...
The 1971 mel stuart one was a musical, and quite different to the book...and actually called "willy wonka and the chocolate factory"
The 2005 tim burton film stuck more to the book, even the songs are the same as those in the book.
I like them both for different reasons, I also think Johnny Depp was very well suited as willy wonka.

I agree about johnny depp being suited to his part.

But I still prefer the old one

The new one is kinda freaky lol but it's better as its much more modernised :)
