Okay, last week my friend told everyone she was going to be off school the next day, but decided not to tell me. The next day she was ofcourse not there. The day after she told everyone why she wasn't at school. She took an over dose. Tried to kill herself. She has been depressed for weeks now and she is losing all her friends. I don't know what to do to help her. HELP!?!
(She already gets councelling already)

You can't do anything, don't try.
Woah well the only thing you can do really is be there for her, Tell her shes your best friend, Make her feel wanted in life. Sorry its not much but its all i can think of.
Be nice and act normal to her..
Make her know what she is loved and try to say how much she means to you.
Try to have a personal talk to her about it.
Too be honest, she sounds like an attention seeker.

Support her have you ever asked what makes her depressed if not ask her and try work on it with her just make sure she knows your there for her.
And dont let anyone else bully you or your friend for it, your friendship is probably something that they havent got.

One of my friends tried to OD before, sometimes it takes something as serious as that to realise what you're doing to yourself. Yes he had/has genuine problems, but now he's much better and realises what he almost threw away.
taking an overdose is usually a cry for help, you really shouldnt put too much pressure on yourself, just be there for her but act as normal as possible. Im guessing her family know shes depressed if she attends councelling, its up to them to help her.
Its hard but try not to let her depression put pressure on you, only your friend can make herself better.

I'm sorry if this sounds accusive but are you sure she took an overdose? In one day she took the overdose went to hospital and they just let her back out again? Seems a tad silly of the hospital if thats true.
