I'd get around, explore different member places, train a few member skills and just get to know members before you start to do quests..

This one is the most important.
Druidic ritual and fishing contest are easy quests and good to start with.
Fishing contest allows you to go under white wolf mountain (The mountain with lotsa wolves just inside the members gate, at taverly)
Druidic ritual gives you herblore levels so you can start the skill.
Just explore its the best thing to do.
