Look what we have done...

I'm just going to see how many people can argue back with this thread...

Look what we have done to the world, the more we get, the more we want, the more new products that come out, the more we buy...

Here are some things that are going on in the world that HUMANS have done:
1.War - Yes, even although you may not be involved in a war, you still dislike some people, and wether it is physical contact or not, you are still causing arguements.

2.Cruelty - I know you must be bored of me saying this, but it if it wasn't for animals we wouldn't be here, but no, some people are so ungrateful, and kill animals for pleasure, animals ruled the earth at one point, and we have to respect that...

3.Pollution - I bet you atleast 75% of you have atleast 2 cars, there is nearly double the ammount of cars in america than there is people. Pollution ruins the o-zone layer, thats why britain has had such weird weather recently, actually, a few weeks ago it was snowing, AND there was lightning, that's abnormal for the weather to react like that.

4.Oil - Well, this is what nearly everything i have mentioned is caused by, the wanting of oil, some countrys like the US and the UK are so greedy, they just want more oil, so they decide to make up a whole excuse about helping other countries like Iraq from poverty, but all they are wanting is the oil. And because of all of our greedyness, the earth has only 40 years until we run out of Oil.

5.Money - Well, this is the cause of EVERYTHING in this planet, MONEY! Big companys don't care about what kind of effects there products or there actions will have in the future, they do it so they can become rich, and live healthy and wealthy. If everyone wasn't so greedy, no countries would be in poverty, as large companys and rich countries would help them. But no, we decide to sit back, and watch the earth fall to peices while we eat our caviar.

6.The products - Okay, so we all want a big house, with a large screen tv, and loads of cars, and our own personal areoplane, but, if everyone was to have this dream, what would the world be like? I'm quite surprised the earth has survived with all of the substances that have been taken out of it. Like gold, silver, copper, iron, tin. All of these things are in the ground we walk on for a reason, but again, greedyness takes over, and so we all need our big diamond and gold rings, and our gold genuine watches. Then there is things that don't rot away, not cfc friendly, so these things will still be on this earth for millions of years to come (if the earth even survives for that long).
Then there is the cars, think about the fumes that come off of them, the more lazy people get, the less people walk, or cycle, walking is the most natural thing to man, but soon, there will be no such thing as walking, as everyone will be driving in there new cars.

Humans have ruined this earth, We think we are so smart, and that we are the boss, WELL, if i was in work right now, and i was causing so much destruction and i was the boss, I WOULD BE FIRED! These things may not matter much to us just now, but if you get a warning in a few years time telling us that the world only has 20 years to survive, what will you do?
And if none of these warnings come out while we are alive, we are leaving it to the next generation, i don't see how it is so hard to save a little energy, to be friendly, and to keep our greedyness to a very low minimum is so hard to do!

I don't do all of them, i have cut down on all of them, thats why i am hardly on the computer anymore, i walk to work nearly everyday, i don't use non-recycable products, and i don't fight with people, i walk away from it all.

Look, you argument about animals being the reason were here? What are you talking about we ARE animals and if i were to punch you that would be animal cruelty however we dont class it as that because we see ourselfs as "Higher Up" which is complete rubbish.

I agree that the world is in a terrible mess, we have broken it very seriously. I mean the ice caps are melting, people are getting obese and everyone is on a mission to make the most money andbe the most powerfull.

The truth is, none of us, no matter how much money we make, how powerfull we become will be able to fix what we have done. And it is all of us who have done it so i am not gonna act innocent.

So, without humans, you are saying the world will be a better place? and to correspond with James up top, we are animals. If we weren't animals then what are we?

I skimmed alot of it. But i dont think we are doing anything to our world, at all. Were doing it to ourslefs, if we have anotehr ice ages or we cause a nucler holocaste, we all die, but the world wont, not in the sligetest evelotion contiues, new speacys evolve, we wont be missed, we may even be dug up by a furte eveoltion. We are not some specal ceatures that if we die the world suddenly ends, what most people call teh end of the world, is simply the end of us.

I prefer not to blame contries for the problems but more the idiost running them and makeing the mistakes. athogh its not there fauls its more Yours and evryone elses, i would be it the world leaders suddenly cut of elctristy so as not to use oil and no more plastic was produced, you owuld be evne more angry at them that you are when there not. they have to make comrpimes becuse humans are stupid enogh to compleain about both sides of an argumnt meaning if they wnated evryone to be happy there would be no choise at all.

I have to disagree with that post because the world has come far uve got to look at the positive things aswell like technology and that people are looking into a few of them problems like the fox hunting ban .

On this account surely then thinking can be counted as it can cause bad karma, what you've gotta remember is that arguments will happen and wars will be caused because people will be different. Wars happen because of our being individuals and having differences of opinion, more or less, and we, as people, have a right to our opinion and others have a right to disagree so war in any way shape or form is almost guaranteed within a group of people.

I agree with you slightly, in that maybe we should be more considerate about the resources we consume and the effects on the environment.
However i wouldn't support going back to being cave men so that we could live in harmony with nature, i think the consumption of resources and expansion of a colony is inevitable, and that's what we are, a tiny spec in an infinitely large universe. When we've finished here we'll move onto another planet :rolleyes:

1)War, yes we people make war. And animals?? They also fight, yes to survive but they still kill each other. Why do we make war?? To survive. If the americans and british people didn't come and safe us in WO2 most of us wouldn't be here. Yes war is wrong but we can't stay in our sofa and watch television while there is a wat going on. We have to help the countries. And if war is the only sollution for the safety of the people who will survive I say do it.

2)Uhm we are animals. Only our brains are better (some animals are smarter and some people are super dumb). I hate people killing animals for fun but why do you think the wwf or grean peace is here? To help the beasts kill the animals?? No the collect money so they can put a stop to killing animals.

3)Pollution. Yes there is too much pollution but do you think scientists aren't doing anything about it? They are searching for ways to solve the problem and they already found a way. America, where like you said there are 2 times to cars, is about to sell cars on water thingy (don't know what it's called in english :( ) And besides vulcanos also cause pollution not as much as cars but still they cause pollution.

4)Oil, yes I agree we want more and more oil but that's because we need more and more oil. But scientists are searching for alternative energy sourches. Like those cars on water thingy (don't need to explain just read point 3).

5) I agree that companies only care about money. But the normal ordinary people donate to wwf and grean peace and unicef and etc etc so we can safe animals and plants and the planet. Those bosses of big companies are beasts without a mind. Case closed.

6) There is still gold and silver and iron and etc etc in the world. And I don't see animals walking with golden rings or other golden products. So we can take gold. We shouldn't but it doesn't cause anything. You say gold and silver and etc or in the ground we walk in for a reason. What reason?? :D
I agree with the cars and fumes. People are getting lazy but they still walk and sport. And I don't think 90% of the people takes the car to get something that is 1 block away (depends on how big the block is).

Okay, you've made some interesting points, but heres what i think -

1) Yes, animals kill to live, but so do humans, and i have no intention of stopping people from eating meat as humans are meat eaters, and if we all turned vegetarian, the world would run out of crops, and have too many animals, but, i just don't like the way they kill the animals. And correct me if i'm wrong, i didn't say 'we shouldn't go into war' i said 'there should be no war' as what does war achieve? It kills innocent people, i don't know why you are saying all this stuff about going into war to save people, war just kills more people, and bush didn't go into war to save iraq, he wanted the oil, and hitler didn't go into war to balance the population of jews, he wanted them dead. You see, war is a evil thing, and no matter how much you say its right, it isn't going to change the fact that it is evil.

2)So, are we animals? Yes, we are animals, so, what your saying, is that we should be treated the same as animals, since we are animals? Oh right, so then i guess i should get on my horse and start human hunting, or maybe shoot down and keep every human i can get my hands on in cages? 3)Scientist's are too late now, they can't save the earth anymore, we have ruined it completely, unless they make some sort of discovery in the next year, then they are no use at all, the only thing we can do now is to stop using so much energy!

All LARGE buisnesses like Sony and things are so greedy, they just keep making more and more products, and selling them for more and more money, and companys like green peace and WWF collect money for certain reasons, so i don't know why you are saying that they are big companys who give money to charity and things, obviously they do as thats what there business is.

6)If i knew the reason they were there, i would tell you, but they are obviously not there so that humans can once again, ruin the earth by digging it up and taking all of the things that contain inside it. 1) I never said hitler or bush are good. And I didn't say Hitler went in war to balance the population of jews. I said that we needed to save the jews from Hitler, and the only way to do that is fight against Hitler, because we already tried to talk with Hitler but he didn't listen. I agree with there should be no war but I can't control the minds of world leaders and if they go mad we will have to attack them :(
And what were you talking about eating meat and stuff?? That's just the nature doing his thing. And I also don't like the way they kill animals :'( So that's a good point of you but when a lion kills an antilope with his claws the antilope has lots of pain, when I spider eats a bug alive the bug has very much pain, when we kill animals for food they have pain but at least it happens fast. But I think scientist should try to change the DNA of cattle, pigs, etc so they don't feel anything anymore so we could use those animals for food. Also bad to kill animals but it's the battle of the thoughest in the nature.

You gave the answer yourself, unless they find a way, we are doomed. That's what I said already, scientists are trying to find a way to solve the pollution problem.

4)We have enough oil?? We have enough oil?? In your first post you said we only have oil for 40 years and now you say we have enough?? Make up your mind. We don't have enough oil. We need new energy sourches. And Bush has the most oil but that's partly because the U.S.A have the highest population WITH cars and also because Bush is weird.

5)I didn't say big businesses donate money, they don't (most of them), so the people will (nice people :D). And it's a nature thing, greedyness, every animal (including human because we are animals to) want more and more, strong animals get to eat first, big animals get the most wives, strong animals get the best places, strong animals get more land, weird people get the most money. It's a nature instinct.

6)I know there are lany people taking the car, but also alot of people taking the bus or train because it's cheaper and the goverment made it cheaper because it will produce less pollution. And not everybody needs something which is just a block away but people living in cities do. The cities are full of shops and I don't think lots of people like to spend their time drivinf to a shop 5km in the city while they can get something in a smallers shop around the corner.

1) I was talking about Hitlers and Bush's minds, if only they could get it into themselves that war is wrong, but no, some of the thick americans voted him back in! Yes, animals go through pain when other animals kill them, but animals kill them out in the wild then eat them, and they don't leave any meat, they eat it all, but humans only eat a certain part of the animal. also, i was meaning the conditions they are in, if we just went out and shot the animals that would be okay as it would be a sudden death and also we need to eat, but when people lock them up in cages or chain them ect ect(there is an endless list of the horrible things people do to the poor animals). And humans are so horrible, they go out and kill animals for entertainment, or torture them for entertainment.

2)No actually, you didnt say you should stop killing animals, you said nothing of the sort, you said 'why do you think green peace and WWF are here?' well i'll tell you something, they wouldn't have to be here if everyone just stopped being so selfish and disgusting, and i feel ashamed to be part of the human race!

4)In my first post, i said 'the EARTH will run out of oil in 40 years' this is meaning, no matter how much oil we get now, it will all run out because humans are so greedy, that we have used up more oil than we need. I wasn't talking about britian itself, or america itself, ALL of the earth is supposed to run out of oil in the next 40 years.

5)It is not natural for humans to be selfish, if we were back in the stone age (which soon we will be) there would be no technology, there for, we wouldn't really have anything to want more of. Technology has ruined us all, we have all turned into greedy people (and im not going to act innocent as i do it aswell) but the human race is a mess now, and i want to try and work on limiting myself to the ammount of things i get and do a day!

6)Have you seen the fumes that come off of buses? Making it cheaper is worse as people will just be lazy and think 'oh i will just get the bus' instead of walking or cycling there. Back to the whole 'people wanting more' thing, people want good quality food sometimes, so they would rather go that extra few miles to get the good food, rather than going to the local shops, be honest, does your mum do her weekly/daily/every other day shopping at the corner shop?

Its a huge misconsption that WE are damgeing the world. We are NOT. The world is fine, its chnage far far more drastily than this before, and will again. All where doing is makinging it uninhabiltbale for ourselfs. Single volcnos have put more poultion in to our atmopphear than there have been in the whole of human history, the world isnt damages, ice age insues, it always retunis to its balcence, all we are doing is probly wipeing US out, not destroyiong or dam,ageing the world.

I aggree to al of that said! For one thing we have caused harm to this earth with will be near to come if we dont stop now. Global warming. We have been over-using the earths reasources releasing toxic gases causing acid rain plus keeping the heat inside our earth constantly becoming heated. We have only our selfs to blam.
