Oo creepy I wonder wat happened/why
Doesn't look like a terrorist attack (on sky news) looks like a legit crash. All aircraft will be grounded around NYC.
wat does legitimate mean?
ooohhh
Nixt (Forum Moderator) Please do not post pointlessly.
It means it looks like an accident.
oh right
*update*
The FBI has told the BBC that there is no indication that the crash is terrorism-related.
A Fire Department spokeswoman said the aircraft struck the 20th floor of a building on East 72nd Street. Witnesses told the Associated Press news agency the crash caused a loud noise, and burning and falling debris was seen
Its thought to be a helicopter not a plane
Should kill the people straight away that set up the attacks, not put them on trial if they are caught
heres a piccy off bbc webby
At least 1 person has died according to the Sky News website
Two dead, several trapped - FoxNews
One witness said: "It's really bad."
that made me laugh slightly
heres a video

ooh dearr.
thats what i mean by descriptiveQuote:
An eyewitness told the BBC: ''The next thing I knew he [the plane] levelled out and then the next thing I knew he disappeared behind the building and he was gone.
How big was the plane?
A little bit more descriptive than "small" if anyone could
Even so in this day and age any plane hitting any sort of building makes you think of one thing- terroists. Paranoid worldwe live in now.
yesh i suppose we are very paranoid culture
The fire is out :)
It was some NY Yankees player who was flying the plane oO
Cory Lidle had another career besides being a baseball player, he was a pilot.
So he was flying his plane and had 3 other passengers, and then he crashed.
It's unknown who the others are.
Cory Lidle was a good pitcher tbh, you have to be pretty damn good to be on the Yankees since they only get the good players..
so RIP Cory Lidle
I saw on another forum
9-11-01 fliped around is
10-11-6
Er, no you dont. There are plenty of bad players on every team, including the Yankees. The Yankees, as a whole are good, but you cant point to every specific player and say theyre good. But Cory Lidle was a great pitcher. Meh, Im a Mets fan though.
They found his liscence on the ground below. I still dont get that, how do they find the liscense completely fine when that happens? They found one of the terrorist's passports of the world trade center on the street below, but I looked at the video of the plane crash... and that was a pretty big fireball. You'd think paper would burn to a crisp, but i guess not.
Well they have to be alright to be on the Yankees usually, and that's coming from me a Red Sox and Blue Jay fan. :P
I'm just cheering for the Tigers in the World Series since I have no one else to cheer for, and I usually cheer for the team that faces the Yankees.
RIP, poor guy was having a flying lesson and something went wrong. Investigations into what it was that actually happened are still going on.
Oh yeah, can't remember if anyone said it yet, but Cory and the pilot were both killed, no other deaths.
Well BBC news earlier said he was having a lesson so I don't know who was actually flying at the time, still a shame that an entertainer had to lose his life because of a malfunction in machinery.
It hit the Bel-Air tower (condo/apartment complex).
Yeah, the sox kinda just fell apart twards the end. Im hoping for the Mets, but Pedro is hurt and their pitching isnt great now. If they get to the World Series, I think they'll win, but they have to get through the Cardinals first, and Im not sure if they will.
Cory was only with the Yankees for a few monthes, so it wasent as big of a blow to the Yankee spirit as if Derek Jeter or A-Rod were killed. Dont get me wrong though, still extremely sad.
Cory was driving, but his instructor was still with him. Maybe as a precation
