Anybody want to start a mobile portal?

with a .mobi domain. With latest news & sports, maybe let people make their own homepages and stuff, but for their mobiles.

It's a growing market, I think we could maybe make some money with advertising and stuff. It's all be professionally done with RSS feeds and whatnot.

Anybody intrested, we could even have forums and stuff. x]

I'd like to get maybe 3 people involved. You're good at the web design aspect, I am good at getting content. We need somebody that can bring something else to the table.

i'd be happy to.. but ive seen the price of a .mobi quoted at $20 p/y (min 2 yr contract)



but if you need help then gimme a yell i'd be more then happy to involve myself in another project :)

Do you mean a whole WAP and WML website for mobile phones? I have minimal knowledge in WML so I suppose I could help out a bit but only if it's serious.

Wap is basically redundant now as most phones are gprs or 3G and genrally the people who go on the internet on their phones have gprs enabled phones

I have no idea if your incorrect or what as I don't own a mobile phone, I just know that they used to run on WAP.

No longer as mobile internet is fairly pricey so people who use it usually have fairly good phones which are gprs/3g and gprs phones are now around £20

i have 3g, I-mode new internet on samsungs and it has gprs enabled so i can go on any site anyway

Okay, I think I can get myself a .com, but I need some hosting and some more ideas for content and designs. I hate to say it, but maybe Habbo is the best way we could chat to each other (or MSN).
