Worst night ever.

Well i have 4 brothers and 1 Is abit wrong in the head but he usually takes his medication and is alright he has his tantrums and stuff (Hes 23 ;l) Well last night everyone was sleeping all my brother were out. Just me and my mum my brother ran into the house screaming im going to kill myself and im taking you with me.

He ran into my mums room started trying to attack her. i ran in and as soon he saw me he chased me down stairs i blocked him from getting ion the living room door buit soon i was over powered he nearly hit me until my mum picked up the phone to call the police he took it out of her hands and put it in his pocket he then ran to the knife draw and at this time my mum was in tears i ran upstairs and got my hockey stick i heard screaming and when i got downstairs he was on my mum so i repreaditly hitted him with the stick and he eventually got off her then the police arrived and he ran off. I dont feel safe anymore and this morning he was outside our house saying sorry and hes never alowed near our house again.. if i hadent got the stick my mum would have been dead maybe..

I feel afraid and nobody no's were he is now.
Advice?

woah thats bad, sorry to hear about that. maybe its best he is kept away from the house. you were right to protect your mum and all you can do now is support her as for a while it will be difficult for her, and ofcourse you. just stick together, do everything your told and things should improve. i know that may not be advice but i just wanted to reply to show my sympathy. hope things improve.

I assume that your brother has a psychologist/psychiatrist? I am sure such an act of violence is reason enough to section him.

ouchies thats a bad night well dont worry if hes like that then they SHOULD section him but it was good of u for probaly saving ur mums life and u must also be pretty destraught :[

Yeah he does theyve offered him homes and he dosent take them

And they said if he starts again dont try and control him because you carnt just phone the police..

Yes, but when you are sectioned - you have no choice. You are taken to a psychiatric hospital and you remain there until they consider you safe to leave. The act of violence you have described above almost certainly sounds like your brother is unstable, and should be sectioned.

Be strong, and support your mother, maybe the best thing to do is keep him away for a bit until he gets abit more better and is safe for all of you to get together again.

try getting a restraining order on your brother?

maybe even move house if your family all feel the same

Maybe, something triggered your brothers anger. My advice is to make your house more safe and secure. That way he cant get in...
