Name changes reverted

The dragons have all had their names reverted to their V11 names (the serpent of doom was changed to black dragon, sea dragon changed to blue dragon). I presume all other furniture that had this change was renamed likewise.

A couple of days ago at a habbo event comlc (or watevr his name is) said they would be changeing due to colour-blind and blind people cant see the colour of them and this counts as discrimination. So they would be changeing the name to the colour of the approprate item and them the items name, eg "New Years Rocket" To "Red Smoke Machine".

Yeah , That's quite good of Sulake considering the half of time they don't listen to us.

Colmc is like the only sound person tbh. He probs came up with the idea.

In that case why have the names been reverted now?

I dont see why it matters even if they know the colour they still cant see it

They can see it :s And its helpful when trading. You could trade a silver dragon for 2hc thinking its red or something similar. People have trouble distinguishing between bronze and red now, even when theyre not colourblind.

so.... the point is thay can read the name 2 find out what colour it is

Thats a great idea by Sulake! It's a sacrifice on the "fun names" that are always made up but damn that is such a good idea, and a great way to consider the people who are color-blind. :)

So colour blind people don't know what the colour of the sea is then?

Well they could mean anything by sea.. It just helps to identify the color I think. :)

I never thought of this its a very sensible reason

thats very thoughtful of sulake / colmc, i know a colour-blind person and they can see colour but the colours are just different (e.g grass is purple not green)

I see the point but they could just do this:

Name: Serpant of Doom
Description: Black Dragon

I think that would be a better idea. because some of the names are good due to when they were released etc. :)

And DJ-Sounds, that comment is a bit insensitive of you...

my brothers color blind and plays habbo, he has trouble distinguishing between certain colors of furni.

sulake has obviously done it because either they're living up to their 'everyone can play' slogan, or simply because they've had complaints, or maybe to make habbo more user friendly to people with certain disabilities.

How can a blind person play habbo hotel lol

I reinstate my point. Why have habbo REVERTED (changed back) all the names from BLUE dragon to SEA dragon etc. If theyre doing it to help colour blind people, theyll only have been helped for a few hours before they REVERTED it :S

i dont know why they have done that as comcl announced they would change permantly.

I will certainly put a conplaint as i am partly colour blind and cnt see the colour red.

They probley changed it because they saw it was really helping. I will not admit my point was unsensetive.

I like the made up names better than just "Red Dragon", "Purple pillow" etc.
Its not hard to hover over the item to see what it is, is it? :S

Well thats not really scary. Being colour blind is when you have trouble distinguishing colours, not seeing black and white :rolleyes: Sounds normal to me, not scary :P
