If he wasn't allowed to go, there would be uproar.
If he dies there will be uproar.
I say send him but at the same time we can't because he is going to put those around him in danger :l
I have a easy way to get out of it. Pull out entirely from Iraq, then they'd be no reason to take him or anyone else there to be risk being injured and killed.
It'd solve most the matters, but create more.
We bombed Iraq, running out would begin a civil war, that's if there isn't already.
hes no diffent from anyone else there.
shouldnt be treated any diffrently.
Not really, just because Harry is a prince, doesn't make him
more important than all the other soldiers who are giving
their life for the country. Yes, he may be more important when he isnt
serving in Iraq, but when they are all fighting all of them mean the same
amount to the country. They are all serving in iraq, risking their lives.
Therefore they are all important. Also, I reckon if harry gets
killed/kidnapped,there will be MAJOR arguments and uproar about it all.
I reckon he should go out and just try to protect himself.
As if our government and the US would do that?
Personally, I hope something happens to Harry so he doesn't go to Iraq, something bad is bound to happen.
Edit to replies at above.
I think he should be treated diffrently, because if something does happen to him, god knows what will happen next, the war on terroism is already in a bad enough state, with a senior member of our royal family being killed, it'll make things worse.
good. hes no bloody diffrent from the other people risking there lives out there /;
He is different, because of what he represents. The best case scenario would be that he somehow gets injured in the training exercise that they're planning and he can't be sent, that way he's not at risk and the army can't be charged with giving special treatment to a certain soldier.
In an ideal world he shouldnt be treated differently becausealthough he is a prince, as he is doing the exact same job for his country as others. However its NOT an ideal world and hes an obvious target due to his stature within our country.
There's loads of good and bad points here.
It's likely he'll be targeted. But if he was killed, they'd pull everyone out the army and you risk LOADS of trouble in our parliament.
25 Years ago I think it was Prince Andrew who went to the folklands war. He had around 5 helicopters around him (Basically escorting his helicopter). And if a missile was heading for Andrew's helicopter. The other helicopter had to drive straight in front of Andrew's helicopter and take the missile! So that 100s of people risking their lives for 1 person in the royal family, and he's not even that near the throne.
He is in the army, so he should fight in the army, as otherwise they'd be no point in him being in it.
My opinion: Go when Iraq calms down. Bombs go off left, right and centre atm but when it all calms down and laws are being enforced, it's good for him to go then!
Actually, this could result in England becoming separated from our cousins...
We have nothing to gain from him being there but alot to lose.
They won't pull out the army, they simply can't do that, although they may make the whole withdrawal process a little quicker.
That's not going to mean that he is any less at risk, okay he is going to be a little safer as the other soldiers will be however he will still be a prime target for the extremists who aren't going to disappear or 'calm down'.
if he didn't go he would be annoyed as he really wants to go but he will be the terrorists main target really
Odea thats another of the royal familey 'murdered'
GL to him ;] I can't bare to put up with the news on him 24/7 for months. so he better not get killed.
Do not care if he stays or go, although that would make my name one name rarer ;)
I dont mean to be mean but, a human is a human...no matter who dies its still a life lost..
Hes going there like any other soldier....
I fear for Harry.
So what if hes from the Royal Family? Other UK Citizens fight for the "country" so so should they. Not that I agree with the reason they going to war but thats a different topic.
How stupid is that.Quote:
