Why such a large demand on vBulletin?

Why is everyone, literally, using vBulletin? It's as good as XMB & WTCBB. Why
vB? It's crap, honestly.

now i'ma get -reps & infractionz. great.

XMB has a neat layout, but it does get annoying when adding forums. apart from that it rocks - theres not too many security flaws.

Becuse this is a Vb forum, most people here strating them modle there forum of this one. this is successful, hence they think there bored has more chance of being successful if its also VB.

Go to a big IPB community, everyone starting a forum get ipb for it.

Go to a big phpbb communty, all the forum owners useing it all go for phpbb, again for the same reason :)

People will sign up on a vBulletin JUST because it's a vBulletin. I learned that when I advertised my board here.

It's really rediculous really. I've seen people make a really crappy vBulletin with the default skin and everything.

Then, someone (like me ;)) tries to make a really good phpBB or IPB board, and NO one will join it. It's so stupid.

Absolutley, the ACP is far better designed, the co-founder and coder has a freaking awesome haircut and the forum coding is sweet.

Also, IPB is a LOT more user-friendly for both the user and the admin/moderators.

Templates are such a breeze to edit in IPB and in vBulletin they are so much harder.
I also agree on the Admin CP comment. I LOVE the new admin CP.

only because kids think its cool? oh really, can you prove this? 'kids' cant usualy afford a vb anyway? get your facts right before saying crap.

i could say:

kids think ipb is cool, so they use it
kids think phpbb is cool, so they use it

no. its because vb is a popular forum on the market. look at the sucess? habboxforum for one? yes, doesnt ALWAYS bring you sucess, these kids you say, maybe use a vb because they have worked on a vb forum before, and maybe are use to the vb.
