The Core system isn't worth bothering with. You can get some really good deals on Premiums these days, with the £280 launch price getting you the system, 2 or 3 games and an extra controller now.
However if you're looking to get one it might well be worth saving up a little extra and getting the Elite configuration when it comes out.
I got , premium console , 2 wireless controllers , pgr3 , GoW , Crackdown , Xbox arcade and wwe 07 for 304 pounds :]

Out of the upcoming 360 games, I'm most excited about Bioshock, that looks awesome.
Yeah Bioshock is definately in my top 3 along with Halo 3 and GTA:IV.
I cant wait for spiderman 3 i love the games.
I've never played Spiderman but good releases for the ps2 :)
