Sombody's trying to get their MOD log's up :)

yeah, yoshimitsui Closed a thread, In the Spam section for the following reason

Edited by Yoshimitsui (Forum Moderator): Please don't create pointless threads which have no relevence to anything, thread closed!

ITS SPAM! It doesn't need a 'relevance'

a link: http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=359750

I've also seen a few other MOD's doing this, not naming any other names :)

Edited by micky.blue.eyes (Super Moderator): Thread locked. Please don't reverse the actions of a moderator. If you have problems with a member of the staff, please contact his or her manager.

Some thing like 'O dear my dishwasher has broke, now im going to have to clean them by hand' is spam!

Or, Things like, 'Good morning guys'!

Whereas, 'wnfnewkfnrjfnre' Is ultimatley poinltless and just anoying for everyone.

Thats the point your missing.

It may be 'ultimately pointless' but it's still just spam, and it's in the spam section. The only spam that breaks the rules is making about 10 new threads at once.

I'm in agreement, you can't have a conversation about `asdasdqw` whereas you can about `Good Morning`.

I'm in favour really.

It is in the MOD rules to deal with all posts/threads which are 'jdhkfj' so that is why it is done.

I really don't see the problem, if he wants to type like an idiot let him. As long as it's in the spam forum, it isn't doing any harm.

What a STUPID REASON for a thread closure.

Taken from Seacats handy sticky at the top of the Spam section

Hence a thread closure was justified as it was essentially 'loads of posts with ''dfdfkerujiasdfhnasdf'' in' :)

A load of threads? There was only one, maybe when that SOLAR FLARE person or whatever comes and spams it up it's ok to do it, but for one that's a bit extreme, isn't it? Oh, and there wasn't 20 odd posts after it with pointless messages like 'vjsdvu3hfvu723v'. I actually don't see a difference between this thread and the rest of the threads in spam :s

here comes nick to the rescue :D

It may not have been 20 posts in a row but it was essentially 20 posts shortened into 1 post. All of which would be categorised as the random typing which Seacat was referring to in his sticky.

I don't know how you can catagorize 20 people into one post though, and all posts following the first were fine. It would have eventually died anyway.

Because that was needed, very constructive

It wasnt 20 people into 1 post it was multiple posts of a meaningless and random nature which needed to be locked as threads like that are against the Spam sections rules.

Spam: To indiscriminately send unsolicited, unwanted, irrelevant, or inappropriate messages, especially commercial advertising in mass quantities. Noun: electronic "junk mail".

Spam is irrelevant post's, that rule needs to be reviewed

"This Spam Forum can be used to post any pointless posts and threads, that dont really belong anywhere else. You must stick to the normal Forum Rules here except that you can double post.

By spam we mean pointless posts and topics, not a load of threads called 'af;aior;puifasdfdf' and 20 posts in a row with 'dfdfkerujiasdfhnasdf' ;). It is also not allowed to create loads of threads in a row, causing threads on ''New Posts'' which have a decent use to it to go to page 2.

Please note that you may get banned forum the spam forum or even banned from Habbox Forum completely, so please do not abuse the spam forum.

Post counts do not increase in this Forum

Enjoy and use sensibly :)"

Stuck at the top of the Spam Forum lol.

I know mods are not going to like what I say but I don't think there was anything wrong with that thread. It is the spam section... I have seen people do that kinda thing before and not get there thread closed.

Already been done ;)

Thats all the justification thats needed, the post was of that nature and it was exceedingly and needlessly long, essentially the equivalent to posting repeatedly in an individual thread.

As Nick has pointed out the Action taken by the mod was fine :)

Copy and pasting isn’t something to be proud of in my opinion as it’s pretty basic.

What I’m saying is you’re complaining that you got into trouble for doing something that it quite clearly states not to do, at the top of the forum.

Well if you see any others doing it, use the report button and we shall deal with them as we would with any other rule breaker.

i have to disagree tbh.

The Spam rules need to be revised and have more aspects of posting rules inserted xo

That would mean people takeing advantage of the situation and just haveing many threads like 'dfsddfs' just so they could annoy people and be clever about it.

A lot of mods are doing it lately.

Closing a thread for spamming in spam? L O L.

Them threads always turn into a discussion anyway so it's pointless. =//

You should PM the Forum Manager with your idea ;)

Just out of interest though why would you want to create threads with titles such as “kd;’kgjg”?
