Had enough

I'm at the erge of getting kicked out of my house. I'm 16, and my brother was 16 when my dad threw him out the house. Me and my dad both have very short tempers, which collide very often. Now a few weeks back now, I came home a few hours late (I do it regularly), and my dad came into my room, and he asked me what I had taken (I am not a pill head or anything like that, used to smoke weed but that's it). Now he has heard that apparently I took coke before, which I told him because it wasn't true. So anyway, I was sat on my bed, listening to him, and because I lost my temper, he punched me straight in the face, I had drunk quite a bit so I just laughed (even though I drive a moped I drink regularly so i'm used to driving home ******, and my family know that) so yeah, and since that night, he has been threateing to kick me out of the house, I don't know what to do, we don't speak to each other, just when I've ****** him off in one way or another and he tells me to leave.

So, what should I do?

Stop at friends or relatives if you can and they dont mind or maybe look for a cheap apartment with a mate if you are doing a bit of work to pay for it.

enter the real world tbh, better off without him. :) Tell your mum?

apologise for coming home late; cause it is his house. but stay away more often, don't put yourself in the place where you likely to wind eachother up.

A few of my friends have problems with this. My parents were always threating to kick me out but once my mum said to me secretly that they were just trying to scare me. So what my friends do is stay at each others houses and it would go on for months. One of my friends even got emancipated from her mum and is now staying with her bf. she pays the parents rent because she has a job and is on center link but their parents are like really REALLY nice people. so either do that or just come home on time!

I dont know if you can get emancipated cause your 16 but i dont know the age limit over there. [Btw my friend got emancipated at 15 and now shes 16]

p.s i dont know if emancipated is the right word. But she went to court and is now a legal adult. lol

I am unsure of the laws in Spain but at 16 you are still a minor and that counts as child abuse. If I were you I'd apologize to him and tell him that if he kicks you out you will go to the police.

That would really sort his problems out, wouldn't it? Honestly, do you not think about anything before you post it? That would just make his dad even angrier, and he'd get laughed at in court, they wouldn't even get that far. If you're so angry with your dad, then just stay out of his way and go elsewhere, don't be in the house as often. As Birmz said, it's his house, not yours.

i'd keep out of his way & perhaps stay somewhere else temporary until you have both cooled down. also maybe change your behaviour slightly by not giving him an excuse to punch you by turning up on time and not laughing in his face etc.

You could tell your mum about this, probs you can live with your auntie/uncles.

I am not bothered really that he hit me and such, I am not going to call the police or anything, because well, my dad has helped me out before, like when I got chased by several spiks (Spaniards), so I owe him for that, and I am not moving out, because my mum expects me to go to 6th form this year and then university and there is nowhere for me to go really, because I don't want to cause trouble on my friends door steps (trouble always follows me home :rolleyes:) and I have no family living over here, but if I could, I'd jump at the chance to live with my girlfriend, but she wouldn't allow it because of where she lives and it's right by her ex boyfriend, who is trying to kill me :rolleyes: Literally.

....Well... i thought my idea was good :(

It is a good idea, and if I was still living in England I'd use it.

Well, you need to change what you're doing & follow the rules of the house & you won't have to worry about being kicked out or getting into fights or arguments with your dad.

Mate, just let thinks chill off. Ask your dad can you just talk or something maybe see if he wants to go out for a pizza with you or something. Just try and let things cool off first :)

listen up, fix up, It was 100% your fault in my view BUT he shud not of punched u, plus u shud not drink if your underage, unless different law where u live, but SAY SORRY, Don't plan on moving out, ignore all comments saying that, cus it will make it worse, just LEARN to communicate, LEARN to come home early... FOR a while atleast???? Your dad is probs concerned as u did come home drunk? right? anyways instead of trying to reply to my view in a negative way, U asked for my view, so I would advise u to read it carefully...

INSTEAD OF YOU GOING OUT WITH YOUR MATES, THINK, why not go out with ur mum and dad even if it don't look cool, cus it is ur parents at the end of the day... they looked after you like u said, wen sum peeps was after you???

To the guy above me [*Text Removed* to quote he post] I agree that it was his fault at some stages but instead of hanging out with his friends, hang out with his mum ??? He wants to drink. His dad punched him. He wants to hang out with his FRIENDS! Theres not a really good valid point to what im saying but i dont like your suggestions. Oh yea, I said he should think about moving out.
So your saying ignor my post? He might be considering it. I GAVE HIM AN OPTION. Everyone else said basically the same thing. & the list of things he can do, he probably already does them. its not like hes an achoholic... or is he...;) i dunno. Hes at an age where they drink and dosent hang out with there parents as much.
And one more thing. If his dad punched him i dont think he would 'owe' hes dad anything :rolleyes:
