I want same. :( Im 16 in june.
lol apparantly WHsmith accept us but you know, im gonna ring tomorrow. If I get an interview, or if they say we would but no vacancies I will tell you.
Good Luck in WHsmith, But at 15 major jobs are very minimum, Maybe work at a shopping store? Maybe your local sweet shop. When I was 13 I worked in a newsagent cleaning up the outside and the shop and putting food on the counter and milk in the fridge I left when I was 14 as I moved, but anyway good luck.
how do I know you're not lying?
If WH Smiths is hiring 15 year olds, then I would try there but if you don't get any luck I think the only other places that would hire you are your local shop or maybe the supermarket for shelf stacking and what not.
music shops do tend to hire the more younger people. for their music taste that can relate to customers. normally the min age for a proper job is 15 & 3 months.
Well the WHSmith near me accept 16+ only. Most major companys are the same tbh. [: Though good luck yuh.
If your areas anywhere like mine, you'll be lucky to get a job. Me and my mates can't anywhere. (16 with good GCSE results). There is literally no decent part-time jobs going around my area.
I just rang up small busniness like corner shops and i work at bike shop now.
£3.10 a hour considering im 14 is a good wage:)
Work is really easy aswell just round xmas it gets hard.
being honest round where i live your only likely to get a job in a ice cream booth or something, lol. most "proper companies" dont tend to employ staff that young. however if you have a relative who works for e.g WH smith or somewhere like that then you might have a chance, otherwise i doubt it..
You can only legally get a part time job when you get your National Insurance (NI) Card. You usually get that a few months before your 16th Birthday, so although WHSmith may say the accept 15 year olds, you have to have your NI Card.
Edit: Actually scrap that, I had a bit of research and I found this from someone;
Quote:
I'm 15, i work in sports world...if u want to work when you are under 16 you need to get an employment liscence form from your school or local concil then your school, parents and the company you are going to work for has to sign it then its sent off and you have to wait to see if u get a liscence
its really slim pickins where i live, most places that hire 14 year olds are looking for them to lug heavy crap around the shop and clean up, and expect to get payed pennies, thats how i quit my last job. my mate delivers papers but sells pirate dvds from the paper bag :P we all went round with him once, called ourselves the knock off nigels =D
he gets pretty good money from that, and its generally low risk...
kumon maths ftw!!
Its a maths class that is all around the country , you go along and you mark kids work and do abit of clerical work.
I get paid 6 quid for 2 hours and work twice a week :]
thats rubbish pay £6 for two hours. ;l
ASDA near me don't employ under 18's because they sell cigaretts and booze to their mates.. ROFL?
You cant work at the till unless your 18 i think, ASDA do employ under 18. :]
it's such a pain. i'm 15 and i'd be happy to slave away in a clothes shop or something for some money but you have to be 16 or 18+ pretty much everywhere. i'm not doing a paper round either.
woah, pilf.
gah ]= i dont wana do a paper round either lol.
Lol at the picture, im 16 on october, got my national Insurance Card bout month ago, gonna try for sainsbury's once i hit 16 i think
I've tried everywhere like Topman, Republic, Next, New Look, Game Station, Game, Asda, H&M.
I've had a reply from ASDA saying they dont hire anyone under 18 in the local store, bummer. H&M saying if they have any job opens check the website. [: And then Topman saying recuritment day is blah
:o im 16 in october and i got mine about a month ago. Mines early oct and i bet if its come then you are 16 in early ocotber. I bet you dont have yours coz ur bday is at the end and they will do another bunch before then
my birthday is 13th october. if i dont get it by the time i come back from dubai on the 26th october, ill check out their website and possibly email/call them up.
You'll get it soon. The postage strike no doubt fecks it up. Anyway its two months wayish kinda a month now.
You can work at Sainsburys if you are 16, like ASDA. But with ASDA you cant work at the till, whereas with Sainsburys you can. If anyone comes to your till to buy alcohol, you ring the bell and do their other items, until another staff member comes and rings it up for you.
And with Sainsburys the wages are good. Im 16 and get £4.20 an hour which is almost a pound over minimum wage :D
lol haha kool, i am 14 and 15 in december, i am quite lucky though, mu dad is southern county manager of MFI so during sales, Eg after christmad, he gets me a job at #6 a hour giving out flyers and giving peoples tea and coffe when with a sales person or helping people find things ect.
He also gets me mcdonalds for lunch :)
curtisy of MFI
Im only 15 but i got my NI card few weeks back, so i think 15 yr olds can work at sainsburys just maybe not on the tills =)
