I download a free layout from a site and I opened it up, has loads of folders, pictures etc. How do I put the layout onto a site? Can you do it on freewebs as I have a premium freewebs account..

Hey,
I believe you would just simply upload everything you are told to (In most free layouts there is a readme telling you what needs to be uploaded)
Only problem with freewebs is that uploading is quite slow (Well it was when I used it last)
I would suggest maybe trying to get some free cPanel Hosting and then a .tk or other free domain :)
But yeah, Hope I helped a little.

there should be a file called index.html <- this is what you edit
and a folder called images, Upload the images folder and index.html n any other files such as index1.html, style, CSS etc. And it should be up onto ur site

i tried getting hosting and uploading it all but im a bit stuck i dunno what to do lol
Freewebs doesn't extract zips, well they didnt last time i checked. so you're going to have to recreate the directorys and upload the files one by one.

Just upload all the files..I've never used freewebs but see if you can upload using a FTP client then just drag and drop all files into public_html

Upload it to freewebs extract it, you will need the images for the layout otherwise you will only see the writing only lol.

but the images arnt showing up, like the background etc

There doesnt seem to be an images folder, You need to upload your images folder (If you have already thats unusual)

You have to upload the images as well
in the file manager thing it says
"DO NOT UPLOAD FILES HERE, please upload into the ethelvontrell.byethost13.com then htdocs folder for the domain ethelvontrell.byethost13.com"
So I uploaded all the files into there, is there another place for the images?
What control panel are you using?
if you have ftp log onto the ftp then go to the public_html folder then create a folder named images then upload all the image files into it?
yeh its ftp but the only folders are htdocs and http://www.ethelvontrell.byethost13.com/
images are there now :p
