The rares are ridiculously expensive,
the rarest item in the game is a christmas cracker which is approximately
800mill = 266 thrones
Then theres the party hats -
158mill - 480mill (the 480 being the blue partyhat) = 52t- 160t
Heres a list,
these are the ONLY rares/discontinued items in the game.
● Santa Hat
● Pumpkin
● Easter Egg
● Green Halloween Mask
● Blue Halloween Mask
● Red Halloween Mask
● Purple Party Hat
● Yellow Party Hat
● Green Party Hat

But this does not mean there arn't expensive items in the game which few people have.

pmsl, we walked in wilderness to get one although i got mine for free. so no worries
the earth battlestaff is a semi-rare drop from a monster whos name ive forgotten >.<
but yeah, earth staves are purchasable from the varrock staff shop (:
