22 year old guy having sex with 16 year old girl

Hi. Long time reader, first time poster.

I found this in a fitness forum.

A guy, 22, wants to have sex with a girl who's 16. I'm the dad of a 1 year old daughter. I am worried about her enough as it is, but I cant think of how much I'd worry about this if this was my daughter. I'm angry about this guy doing this, am I right to be angry? What would you do if your daughter was in this situation?

one of my boyfriends mates is 22 and is in a relationship with a 16 year old and her parents aren't happy but there is nothing they can do about it as she is legally able to have sex with him if she wants.

i find it a bit odd that he is with a much younger "girl" so to speak but its a difficult situation...

The girl is of legal age; therefore it is her decision.

I've always been like "omg well bad" but if I'm honest, few years time when I'm 22 I'm sure I'd gladly sleep with any 16 year old if they're fit enough.

I've ot nothing against that, I don't view it as sick or anything considering her being the legal age, and all...

thats dirty man, i swear if i saw that id go over and beat the "light" out of him.

if he couldn't get anyone his age doesn't mean he has to go that low, thats sick hope he stabbed.

He was a sexual predator, hahaha.

Lee was bullied before we found that out, that was just extra ammunition to use.

in the olden days, 30 year old men married 16 year old girls. it's instinct and natural for men to be attracted to younger women, and for young women to be attracted to older men.

After reading that blog thing, I find it hard to believe that actually happened.

I could tell what was coming very easily.
It all seems too rehearsed, planned as if someone has made it up.
Thats what I believe that this guy has made it up.

Although if it is real, and if I were the girls father I would be really annoyed, and would probably stop the guy from seeing my daughter somehow.

I don't find anything wrong with it. If they are both committed to the relationship, then they're is nothing wrong with it at all. It's only really bad if he is using her for the sex.

If you love someone age does not matter and females mature before males so they are probibly of the same mental age. Gommie has a good point above, i agree 100%.

If it was forced, it was wrong. But if she agreed to it its ok.

My brothers 18 and his lass is 16, also a lad from work is 29(ish) and his lass is 16.
I dont see anything wrong with it aslong as there both happy.

Anyway I've dated younger girls but wouldn't go that for at this age, I'd go about 3 years younger and that's it. But he is a bit older than us & she is legal!

Its only 6 years older, whats wrong with that? Its not like he is 32 or 45 wanting sex with a 16 year old, thats when I would find it strange and the right for you to be angry. She is 16, the legal age for sex and to make her own descision. As long as she knows whats right and wrong to be safe during sex then I see nothing wrong with it. If he was forceing her to have sex then thats IS wrong or trying to make her have sex when she doesnt want to (not respecting her) then thats wrong!

They're both legal, it's like saying is it wrong for a 46 and 40 year old? No, it isn't.

To be honest, people 'get married' (& sometimes have sex) with a 12 year age difference in there 30+'s, (eg - 45 & 57). I dont see what's different with this.

That was what I would of said, it's just because of the younger 1's age, if it was 28 and 22, would you be as distraught?

Thing is, would people complain more if it was 21 and 15? And if all the males friends have girlfriends of there age, would his friends also mock him for it.

I personally don't understand the motive behind it, but whatever floats there boats I suppose.

According to where Ive seen this posted before, the 22 and 16 year old girl were in Canada where the legal age is 14. So if anything she was 2 years over the legal age. Even if it did happen in the UK I wouldnt see a problem with it, though if I had a daughter I would naturally be protective about something like that. Im sure any father would be.

Nothing wrong though if i was her father i would want to know the guy alot.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it. They're both legal, so yeah.

The girl is legal and if she wants to she can have it , it is actually a bit sick seeing the age difference is 6 years and the girl is quite young but if she likes the guy whats there stopping her.

Seeing as i don't know them i don't really care , but if it was my sister or daughter i would and would actually be protective.

i could say its like a 14 year old dating an 8 year old... which is pretty sick. But it isn't they're both of legal age and theres not written rule that says you cant date anyone 6 years younger than you *texts little bros mate* :P
