I've never tried smoking before, my parents used to smoke and found it really hard to stop. I, personally wouldn't try it in a situation like that. Would you? :s
Smokleing doesnt help, so deffitly not, just deal with it, insted of ggieving yourself more problems to face a few years down the line
I totally agree, the enjoyment it might give you, isn't worth the money you'll waste on cigarettes, and I don't even believe it helps, perhaps it will when your addicted, but why waste money getting yourself addicted in the first place!Quote:

There is no point in smoking, personally I think my life is fine and I expect no more out of it than what I already have. Many of my friends say they get depressed but they're being too exaggerative. I find smoking repulsive anyway, I would rather much smoke **** or sniff glue, the smell is disgusting and I have to actually hold my breathe when passing a smoker, which is alot of the time in my school.... especially passing the girls toilet's (strangely - I wouldn't have thought it but girls smoke more than boys in my school.)
If i was killing myself or stressed I wouldn't be stupid enough to 'cure; it by smoking.
No I would'nt even turn to smoking.. :p
Statisticly in the uk, more girls now smoke than boys, and its apperntly going that way with binge drinking as well, athogh i think its currantluy about equalQuote:

Back to the issue of smoking, I would never turn to smoking, just becuz of such problems it can put you in... You will become dependant on it, its a gateway drug (meaning it will lead you into other drugs), it wastes your money, it kills brain cells, it puts you on a high for a little bit but then leaves you lower than you were before u smoked the cig... So Cigarette will never be an option for me and it shouldnt be an option for you or anyone becuz nothing good can really come from smoking :(

everyone seems to smoke at my school, sciencists say its stressed but I think this is the cause
1 - teenagers think it makes them look cool
2 - it makes you seem hard and popular
As some of you said yes teenagers do smoke to look cool and 'hard'. But also I know certain people at my school who do it to be accepted by their so called 'mates' who also smoke, and i do know at least 1 person who started smoking through depression to do with family issues.
