Nose job

Ok, hey guys.

I hate my nose, it's too big and makes me look ugly.

I've asked my mum if I should have one, and she says it costs a lot of money. I'm miserable with it though, everyone makes fun of me. But maybe they would make even more fun of me and call me plastic etc. Maybe even MJ. :(

My mum says if I told the Pschiatrist then maybe she would tell the nhs, and I might get an operation for free. I can't afford to pay for one :(

What do you guys think?
Do you think I should get one?

It's not just bullies that worry me, it's that I want to look in preportion to my body.. not have a big nose :(

Ang, it's totally up to you. I have nothing against people having plastic surgery. Just make sure you do it for yourself and noone else. Ask yourself why you want it done, and be certain that you want it. If you really want it, maybe it will help with your self confidence or something, then go for it. But don't do it because somebody teases you about your nose or because someone else doesn't like it.

Thanks Laura, I don't like it because it's too big. But people making fun of me makes it worse.. it would give me back some of my confidence that I've lost :(

Well if you really think it would give you a confidence boost, and make a good difference in your life, then go for it! :)

They brake your nose and you get 2 black eyes... But it'ss worth it ;D

I don't think you need to change your physical appearance to make yourself happy. I personally think that that is superficial happiness. But whatever you want to do, is your own thing :)

Yeah, well I want to get rid of this nose.. it's disgusting looking at it in the morning :( I want to mostly do it for myself

angie I know how you feel I get teased about my apperance too :'( if you really think your ready for it GO GIRL!!!

It's not really my body, I love my figure. I hate it show it off though, guys around here are pervs, and I know what they would chance.

I just want to look nice :( And everyone always looks at my nose, I feel inferior to them.. I want to do it for myself too.

If it makes you happy then go ahead with it, but make sure you are not just getting the operation because you want to change what people think of you. It is your body, and remember there are chances it could turn out wrong, if you are needing some help on boosting your confidence, just tell your self every night before you go to sleep and every morning when you wake up 'i'm beautiful and i know it' keep repeating it in your head for ages and soon you will feel and look more confident.

Yeah, well these things do go wrong.. and I'm scared, but if it doesn't go wrong I'd go happy because I want to do it for myself

This thread somewhat reminds me of an American plastic surgery show called The Swan.

I don't think there are many chances of the operation going wrong if you are completely sure that the surgeon is qualified. Ive seen on television where women have gone to Mexico for cheap surgery and the anesthetics wore off so they woke up while they were making incisions in her stomach.

Just be catious, and I would say go for it if you think it'll help with your self-esteem or confidence.

If anyone teases you, just call them a name that teases their appearance.

So, if they have big lips, call them "Fish Lips".
If they have a big head, call them "Egg Head"
If they have big eyebrows, call them "Mono-Brow".

Stuff like that will shut them up.
And, If it doesn't work, just go along with how you feel.

Yeah Add, one guy said stuff to me about it.. so I called him fatty, he doesn't do it anymore, so he obviously doesn't like being called fatty. My mate Shona punched him, and he sort of stopped teasing us.. although violence in my books isn't always the answer..

but you'd just be the doing the same if you started calling them. two wrongs don't make a right. ang its totally how u feel about it, but you should be blessed with what you've got. i mean everyone has at least one bad thing about them but if its really affecting you just do what you feel is right

I know, no one is perfect.. they're unique in their own way, but I want a new nose.. I still want to be unique but be happy with what I get..

I know guys, but I'm not happy with myself.. my nose lets me down, I do think I'm quite pretty but my nose is big :( I really want one.. thanks for your support everyone ♥

Ang, you are exact same as me, I can't stand my nose. I don't really get bullied about it I just can't stand it. However my friend made me not worry anymore, it suits your face and you may look strange with a different nose whether it's longer/smaller/thinner.

But it's completely up to you, if you feel uneasy about it then by all means do what you think is best.

Also consider as you grow up (physically) your face could like adapt and it might suit you more then. Ah I don't know what I'm talking about, xD it sounded better in my head.

Basically it's your body, it's your decision and not peoples comments about it.

Ashime, I think you have a nice nose.. and what you say is true in every way.. but, I could adapt to a new nose.. I hate mines ;(

I don't even think yours is bad either in fact I would of never noticed it unless you said something about it. You can't live your entire life about little negative things, you're pretty be thankful for that :P

Btw guys, I told my pschiatrist and she said that I should wait until I have my confidence back, then she'll see if i still want it done, and I think I will, so she'll tell my gp but it does take long on the nhs waiting list..

It can't be that bad.
If you get bullied about it, their probably prompted out of jealousy.

But heck, if you want it done and you are adimant on doing it, good luck.

Also, like someone stated above, I have no idea how old you are, I'd guess at 15? But if you feel you haven't stopped growing, then I don't think you should do it just yet. The bones in the face don't fully stop growing till your about 18.

I would have though, the surgeon, if you got that far, would also say the same...

Well, if you really want to then do it but do it because of yourself not just for other people and probably people look in the inside rather than out.

If people tease you sneeze on them or threaten to sneeze on them. A big nose has its advantages.
