Canadian head party having a throne speech

Quote:

The Conservatives have drafted a throne speech aimed at forcing the Liberal party into a politically embarrassing abandonment of its Kyoto crusade.

Government sources told the Canadian Press that Prime Minister Stephen Harper believes the Liberals are so desperate to avoid an election that they will roll over and accept a throne speech that describes Kyoto climate-change targets as unattainable.

It is among several unpalatable options for Liberal Leader Stéphane Dion that the government is considering salting into its blueprint next Tuesday for the new session of Parliament.

The throne speech will have to be put to a confidence vote in the House of Commons that could trigger an election if Dion joins other opposition leaders to defeat it.

I think the Conservative party is doing a fine job, though out government is a minority. It would be weird if our government toppled because of a speech. The speech is happening today.

Welcome to Habbox UK Forum. ;)

That post made no sense to me and you might struggle to find someone who cares. :D Sure it's nice to know what's happening in your neck of the woods, but to me, it sounds like nothing. A throne speech? Isn't that just like a speech? And being a labour supporter, I would rather turn a blind eye to all conservative areas. ;)

Global Warming isn't a load of crap. But we shouldn't go off topic about that ;).

I should be the one welcoming you, as I have been on the forum longer than you have.

A throne speech is a speech the head party gives. Then a secret ballet is helled with regards to the speech, if the speech is not voted well, a federal election occurs.

That certainly wasn't called for. World News, POLITICS, Religion & Philosophy. That is this forums name, I don't require you telling me pointless information and welcoming me to Habbox Forum when I've been here years before you have been.

I didn't mean welcome, I meant to focus on the uk part, thus bolding it. Thank you for the minus rep by the way, proves that although you have been here longer, you haven't matured quite as fast. ;)

It clearly is a load of crap because of the following factors..
- Governments are set to make millions from Green Taxes and so on.
- Again and again we hit the little snag were I ask the person who follows the Global Warming crap why is it our fault now when it's happened thousands of times before, the usual answear is 'OMG BUT ITS HAPPENING FASTER THIS TIME!!11'

So you're saying we don't have to care about global warming?

You think mature is telling me to try and find somebody who cares about Canadian news then sarcastically welcoming me to the forum that says world news and politics? We have a different definition of mature. I said I've been here longer than you because you were just so nice when you made your first post, that I thought I'd be nice back.

Not only does a throne speech have something to do with politics (you would of noticed that if you read the article) but it is world news. Canadian Prime minister Stephen Harper wrote a speech to be presented to the rest of the Canadian party's. After the speech is presented the party's vote on the speech. It's looking like the votes will go against the speech. If this happens a federal election will happen. If another party gains power it could mean all sorts of changes. Some affect different parts of the world.

No i'm saying that it doesn't exist and if there is a slight change in global temperatures that happens all the time and we can't stop it.

We can't stop it but we can slow it down until future generation can stop it.

Whether you define my comment as immature or a petty little telling off over the rep system as immature, I don't care. And now, I'll do the "mature" thing. Ok, fair enough. I was in a bad mood that day and I was wrong to be so defensive even after my bad mood was over. Looking back, I was a complete idiot and the sort of people I hate. The sort who try to be oh so funny by snide sarcastic comments.

Your ignoring what i'm saying.

We cannot slow it down because we are not the cause of it and it's not a devastating change anyway, it'll be by a few degrees or so.

Wasn't the Ice Age only 10,000 years ago? Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't there a theory that we are still warming up from it very gradually?

I think it's because we have no evidence to suggest there were earlier Ice Ages than our most current because evidence from our most current still remains and we can see that evidence.

Sounds wierd to say only 10,000 years, haha.

Yeah, but a few degrees will change a lot in the future. If it keeps going up just by a few degrees things will change for the worst.

It's changed more than a few degrees many times and we're here, crocodiles are here, everything is just right so let's not worry about it.

Yes, lets just allow it to progress until the ice has all melted and all the year is hurricane season everywhere.

But it DOESN'T exist, explain why the Earth had thousands of different heating/cooling periods long before we were here?

That's totally irrelevant. Governments paid millions of dollars towards research for global warming and they've found that it does exist.

Excuse me for asking but how is the fact the earth is heating up due to a natural process which isn't all our fault, irrelevant?

I underlined all because there is proof we're speeding it up, not causing it. :)

Governments will and are getting billions out of it, it is a lie.

Since when was Science based on votes?

There is no proof though, I used to believe that it was us until I researched it more and came to my senses.

I see where you're coming from. Though I still think the problem exists. Here is an article on Global Warming and how it fails to exist:
http://www.americanpolicy.org/un/thereisnoglobal.htm
Though for that article there are probably 10 that say global warming does exist. One can't believe everything they read on the Internet. Of course that goes for both sides of this. I am surprised though, I didn't know global warming was a controversial issue. Anyhow I'm going to leave it at that. As this thread is going off topic.

The throne speech has been rejected by the NDP party (which is one of the two major party's that matter) but it has been accepted by the Liberals. So there will not be another election.

Who cares about global warming? The Canadas and the .nls will die, oh well.
