The Best Film Trilogy Ever?

What, in your opinion, is the best film trilogy ever? I thought it would be cool to see everyones opinions and interests.

I know it's not easy to think of the best tiliogy off the top of your head, so heres a few worth mentioning to help you decide.

For anyone that doesn't know... Trilogies are film series that now or currently have three films in its series.

Also, Starship Troopers 3, Little Fockers (Sequel to Meet The Fockers), Toy Story 3, The Grudge 3 and Ice Age 3 are all being made so soon they will also be trilogies. Just thought it was worth mentioning.

In my opinion, it's between Pirates of the Caribbean and Lord of the Rings. If I had to choose between them, I would probably choose Lord of the Rings. But thats a really hard decision, so I don't know really. :P

Toy story 3 will ruin the first ;[ altho so did 2.

Spiderman or shrek series are good

I'd also say Indianna Jones was pretty good aswell , the temple of doom was LAME though.

Spiderman and Shrek are excellent. I've loved every Spiderman film so far and I'm a huge Marvel fan. Shrek 1 was decent, Shrek 2 was amazing, Shrek 3 was entertaining but I still think that they can't compare to Lord of the Rings. :P I am very confused as to why Spiderman cost more than Lord of the Rings.

Spiderman three was filmed at three different times perhaps? The LOTR was all filmed in one big lot

Ah, I forgot to add Indianna Jones, thanks! They're making another one though, comes out next year. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0367882/ So it will no longer be a trilogy.

I wasn't really referring to the whole trilogy, as they filmed both tiliogies at basically the same pace. I just wonder why Spiderman 3 cost more than any of the LotR films. :P

How could you missed the mighty Godfather Trilogy out?! Anyways, that's by far the best trilogy ever IMO.

1.Hellraiser (quite old but v. enteraining)
2.Final destination (Number 1 is crap though)
3.Mission Impossible's
4.Saw (1-3 but plots can get repetative)
5.Blade (so good but the 3rd one suck's because of the trying to be funny element)

Awh damn, I forgot Mission Impossible aswell.

I can't agree more with you on Blade. The first and second ones were awesome, the third one just ruined it. Although it started off well.

I agree once again. :P I'm supprised they actually finished Blade 3... Wesley Snipes strangled the writer on the set because he didn't like how he wrote the Blade Trinity movie script. I guess I'd be pretty ****** off if I was being upstaged by some idiots aswell. Welsey also said that the screenplay, director, and cast were foisted upon him without his knowledge or approval, that he was harassed and defamed because of his race, and that he is still owed part of his fee – some $3m. It's rumoured that he has now been kicked out of Hollywood aswell. I don't know if it was because he strangled that guy or not.

Probably the Rush Hour Trilogy. It was actually decent and funny, especially Rush Hour 3 :P

I have been wanting to see Rush Hour 3, but a lot of people actually say its crap. Is it worth watching?

I didn't really think much of American Pie, so thats why it isnt there. The list is only there incase you can't think of any trilogy's yourself. :P

By far the best, Resident Evil.

Just looked at the 'Best Trilogy Ever' poll on imdb.com. It was out of Lord of the Rings, the Star Wars Original trilogy and the Godfather, since they had been voted best 3 trilogies.

So far...
The Star Wars Original Trilogy is first with 6954 votes. (39.2%)
Lord of the Rings is second with 6580 votes. (37.1%)
The Godfather is third with 4207 votes. (23.7%)
