I can't see how you've caught it again? Surely you're immune system would have kept copies of the antibodies it used to fight the system in the first place?
ah u got it twice then. unlukcy get well soon thou :)
You can't get Chicken Pox more than once. You might have measles/mups which is very serious :O I hope you get better, use some after sun on the rashes (it helps) and try not to scratch too much.
If it get's worse, go to the doctor, he'll give you a MMR injection or something.
xx
it's rare but some people catch it twice, could be measils maybe, see your gp.
You can only have chicken pox once, It's best for bois to have in early life because it could make them infertile when they're older.

OMG GIVE IT TO ME
you can have it more than twice, both my parents have had it twice and apparently if youve not had it twice, or even once, youre at more risk to get it if others have it (contagious) aswell.
oh please give it to me. :(
oh and get well soon ! :p
Try to post a pic.
Maybe you have skincancer btw?.. You should get it checked.
im not having any pictures taken.

i culdnt stay in one placelolol
At least your off school till Christmas
Get well soon.
You can get chicken pox twice, but it is extremely rare and I mean super rare. You are more likely to have Shingles, which is similar to Chicken Pox. Basically when you had Chicken Pox the virus retreats to the nerves in your spine where it lies dormant for years and years. In situations of high stress etc the virus can cause a bout of Shingles - it seems more likely this is what you will have.
My GP said you can't have them more then once, and I think he knows more then a few people off Yahoo Answers:rolleyes:
Probably got measals [sp?], mumps or shingles, which can be quite serious.
yeh you can have chicken pox more than once its just rare
You can have it limitless times, actually. It all depends on whether your 'immune system', ie the white blood cells, can detect the virus and defend agasint it perminately.
There are conditions, similar to AIDS but far less serious, which stop your white blood cells from functioning properly.
It's strange that its causing you to vomit though.. that's not normally a problem. Book an appointment with your GP asap.
YOU CAN GET IT MORE THAN ONCE. OKAY. THANKS.
I've also had a twice, both mild cases though.
I aint had it yet :(
suposed to be worse when u get older
and more people are getting them more than once. i think with an illness theres no way of saying u cant get it again
If you've had chicken pox, you're more likely to get shingles later on in life.
Thats painful, (N).
Haven't read all of this thread, but to the people that are saying you can't get chicken pox more than once, your wrong. Sometimes your white blood cells do not create enough antibodies or the ones that are created fail. Meaning you can get it twice, but it is highly unlikely to get it twice, and almost impossible to get it 3 times.
As for me, i've never had it, which is bad, because the older you get, the worse it gets.
My sister had chicken pox twice, not any of the other stuff
You can't have it twice. Your immune system is already recognises this disease so it is biologically impossible unless your a mutant or something lol.
The earlier you have them the better :).
It is possible to have chicken pocks more than once, despite it being very unlikely, the severity does not link with the probability of you contracting it again, there is though, a higher probability of contracting a similar disease to chicken pocks after suffering from it. Also, if you do contract it again, it means that your immune system was unable to fully immunise against the illness before you began to recover (your immune system was strong enough to combat the illness while developing an immunity (this happens to everyone) therefore you are still able to contract it, but depending on your age, it will get worse as you age.
