I know someone whos flashing 360 drives for £25, and I was wondering, what is the probability of getting caught? I know getting it modchipped you will 99.5% chance get caught.

I'm just going to reccomend you don't , you can get banned of Xbox live I think :)

Depends, if you brought a second console and got one flashed then you wont get banned on Xbox Live if you don't go on Live on that one. :)
It all depends what firmware you get put on it. If he flashes it with iExtreme and you use only iExtreme back ups. Chances are you WILL NOT get caught.
can I ask what the advantages are?
once its done cant you download the games for free?
u still get the achievements etc, jus u get it for free lol.
my mate did that on the wii.
you have exactly the same chance of getting banned with the firmware mod just as having a mod chip installed
its all 2 do with the games you play

No thats wrong. If you dont have iExtreme firmware you cant play stealth back ups. If you dont use stealth back ups you will get caught, but as long as you are using stealths you will be fine. Just dont do something stupid like play a game online before it comes out.Quote:

My mate has done it, he can get pirate games and play them now probs, and run Homebrew, but he doesnt know how to do that.

lol, If you get your console flashed and you only use stealth back ups there is no way possible that Microsft can trace you. Therefore you can not get banned from LIVE however if you get it flashed and use non-stealth back ups, you will get caught. If you know what you are doing you wont get caught.
From what I have been told, you can now have your xbox flashed and if you get banned, the firmware can be restored to the original then you just get microsoft to give you a new one for like £40?

My dads mate is offering to do something to mine for free (I dunno what is apart from I can get free games! :P) so I might just buy a second 360, one for live and one with what ever the guy done to it. >.>
