Well ive got low self astime (sp?) and low confedence and like im jumping in the deep end by doing voulentry youth working so like its gonna challange me to over come my low confedence and low self astime (sp?)
i was just woundering is there anything anyone could give me advice to do to help me over come this by making it alot easyer by telling me wut i could do.
p.s i will have to over come this is i wish to do a yotuh worker job in future witch is wut i want to do
whats one of those?

i like helping ppl and i feel like ive achived somthign good when i see that ppl are happy in there life because ive helped them.
and im 18 turning 19 soon
Just make the most of your time and like try and act confident even if you're not, just make yourself comfortable with what you're doing by getting to know other people quickly. It's difficult to think about doing that when you say you have a low self esteem but honestly out of my own past experience I can safely say that the more you stop worrying about something and just get on with it the better it is :].
By getting the experience you are going to get used to it anyway, so I'm sure you'll be fine :)
I have a low self esteem but im getting better now Just face your fear talk to people it got my on my road to recovery
Contact your local council who may be able to give you some sort of training for social car / youth worker jobs.
i am dealing with it or id not be going to this youth center as a voulenter youth worker xD. i was asking if theres anything that could like make it go more easyerQuote:

Do you have a Princes Trust in your area because they specialise in courses to help with low esteem and confidence. Just doing voluntary work is a great thing though and you should be proud of yourself. I just love your avatar. :)
well you could try wearing arm bands or just stay in the shallow end? :S:S:S:S
Just get your girlfriend to give you some as time.
You can do college courses on stuff like this, I know people who are doing them. If that fails, resort to alcohol, it makes you feel invincible! :P

Talking to others about your problems can bring your esteem up. Partners/Relationships are really good at this, last time I went out with someone, I finally stopped feeling fat and ugly etc. all changes when they leave you though! FRIENDS are awesome, talk to them about what is bringing you down.
The way in earning confindence is to do it.
