Erm, well theres 2 movies. First one came outi n 1995, second one in 2004. I haven't seen the second one.
It's a damn good film and I'd recommend it. If you like The Matrix, you'll like Ghost in the Shell. Some people even say it's one of the best sci-fi movies ever made. It's a shame some people won't watch it just because they think anime is for kids. This is another one of the animes I'd use to back up the fact that anime isnt for kids. It's pretty gory and there are some nude scenes. :P
All my friends are like that, I dont wanna watch anime because it's emo, geekish and for kids.
