Well, isn't that just stupid. Anyone could lie and say there are straight to give blood, I would.
I just looked on BBC news, and there is nothing?
i'm sure this hasn't been allowed for ages?
also how are they gonna find out if someones gay? they could just lie haha
Why can't gay people give blood though? It's not like it's going to turn anyone else, or is going to be full of bad things likely to kill people. They are the same as a straight person just their sexuality is different.
This has been around for a while, but it's interesting to discuss :) It's a bit stupid really, you could just lie "/ If someone was openly gay, is their blood really any different?
Apparently there is an increased risk of aids in gay people...
My ****
It's if you've had gay sex I think; they prefer not to because it takes time to test your blood. But then any **** sex is bad for you, whatever gender.
Why would anyone lie though? If they're giving blood to help people... and their blood is infested with disease... why would they want to give it?
Because there is very little chance that it is/was infected in the first place? Don't heterosexual couples have more chance having aids than homosexual couples come to think of it? Not all homosexuals have **** sex (as far as I am aware at least) while heterosex consists largely of vaginal sex which can be one way of catching HIV/Aids or any other STDs.
This hasnt been allowed for ages lol.. because we have desises apprently 8-)
Whatttt????
I wanna give blood.
Hmm, I'll just have to have a girl down my jeans walking into the clinic so they can take blood.
u know, i was thinking the other day
can girls get STDs from drinking ***?
lmao. cos these losers at school were going around saying 'Swallow or Spit' which is like 10 years old, and there 14 :l
As far as im aware this has been law for decades? There has been reacent discussion on getting rid of it becuse its orignal basis has kinda been discredited, but thats all i know "/
Secondly, im pretty sure they have to screen all blood anyway?
Unless they've been proven to be infected in some way why on earth shouldn't they be able to give blood?
