I read about this yesterday. It's the fact that the pound is now worth less compared to their currency, and apparently their economy over there is 'booming'. About time I say. :)
Blimey, the pound-zloty conversion rate has nearly halved in 4 years :/

the canteen workers at college are Polish the always give you to much change :D My sister went to Poland once apprently everything is sooooo cheap there =]
to be honest they only came here for a cheap and easy life without much work when good old british citizens work 5-7 days a week. I'm glad their going back. It's about time they started working properly.
Polish people generally work harder and longer than Britons lol. And I don't see the problem, plenty of Britons emmigrate to countries like American and Australia for a better life, are you saying they should all be sent back to Britain so they work properly?Quote:

No, polsih people are good at what they do. they come over here and people think they take all the work. but the people that want the work are crap at what they do.. The polish people want a decent life over here and they want to make a living. there not like pakis who just come over here and make loads of kebab shops and really annoy you - polish people are kind people. If people think they should go back to there country, well then that means that all the english people that move to places like australia and america should come back. my mate is polish and they are really nice and kind people. ok - they maybe speak another language - but so what? were all human. They proberbly dont like our language but they still learn most of it before they emigrate hear. Have some respect for these people.
This is what i think about the current situation. i dont care what you say about these people - they are nice people.
All you brits are sitting around, scratching your dupas (doo-pahs) (polish for ****, I believe, I work with a polish speaking guy), and your money's value goes down.
This is why Canada owns you.

"Even the Poles" - what exactly makes them inferior to people originating from any other nation? I couldn't, personally, really imagine aspiring to live here, but, given their economic situation, I can understand why some Polish people come over here to work. Living in Britain is pretty much the lesser of two evils.
At least Britain didn't completely control India and whatnot back in the ol' days.

That post confuses me. The group that run India at the moment were the group that are supposedly behind the murder of Gandhi. Nothing to do with Britain, infact you could even say we protected him...
I presume that is because its mainly the last 4 years alot of polish have been coming to britain. Alot of the time they have a high number of them to one house so when the rent is divided they pay very little per person and then alot of their wages home. Our wages is 3 or 4 times theirs so if they work here for 4 years they have 12 - 16 years worth of pay for Poland so then go home and have a much better life.Quote:
