This is my OPINION!

Mad is one of the worst general managers habbox has had in a long time.
He seems to have an idea in his head that is telling him that destroying
habbox's old skool rep is good. Examples of this are:

- The rep system is now practically useless.
- Habbox.eu domain was VERY pointless.
- Some parts of the habbox site need major updating.
- Wont listen to forum members when they dont like a idea.

He seems to think he is ALWAYS correct and that if somebody thinks
a little differantly they are wrong and are going againts his power.

I think 70% of this forum wants a differant GM.

I will not comment on the jrh2002 problem MAD probably had
something to do with it.

I tend to agree with all your points but don't blame MAD. Personally think MAD has done quite a bit for habbox/habboxforum since he has been GM, You can't get everything right and you get stuff wrong sometimes. But give him a break?

This may be your opinion but the facts you're stating are incorrect.
First of all how is the reputation system ruined? It's still the same as before but harder to get higher rep powers.

Habbox.eu wasn'y pointless as it was bought so people could still use the actual site because Habbox.com was buggered up.

Some parts of the site may need updating but it's not the GM who makes the content.

In future you may want to re-think your points that you try put across.

Sorry? if he is wrong he'll fix whats gone on, i've often seen a member correct him and he's fixed what he did wrong. :rolleyes:

I disagre, Do you see the staff forums do you know what MAD has in store?
Rep system has been pointless for years since rep could be baught, I think MAD is doing pretty good to be fair, yes he has big feet to fill (8f8) but hes doing pretty well !

With a lot of the things including the reputation change it would have been better if ht consulted the members first, ie. making a poll to see if we agreed with the change.

Agreed im sure if he did that rep would still be the old way.

Why do you think that if a member of staff sticks up for General Management that they're instantly a suck up, because they're not. If a user was to disagree with your post then you wouldn't call them a suck up and being staff is no different.

Blame the content designers...

The content applications just recently opened and closed as there was a lack of content designers. Now we have a biggish team we are starting to get habbox content back to 100%.
Ive been working so hard to update the whole of the rare watch.
Ive also just created a whole new page for recoloured normals. :)
We are getting there slowly.

This change although wasn't desperately needed I think it has had the desired effect on the forum overall. Which was really to stamp out pointless reputation both good and bad. I myself no longer rep people for the same reasons I used to, I'm alot more careful with my rep and who I give it out to because of the new restrictions/rules.

The new content designers are working on bringing the site back up to date, the rare watch page for example has had alot of updating done to it and more content is soon to come. It will just take some time for us to do it :).

Well to be honest dude that makes sense? If they don't like an idea then there's a reason for it, so once they have given an answer for an idea and people just go on about it then there's no need to say anything again if they already have the answer from general management. If you have any ideas post them in the council forums under this thread. If one of the council members decides it's a good idea then we will discuss it in the council forums and then changes might be made. Again, things take time.

jrh resigned because of some of the decisions made by Habbox he didn't agree with, I think it all sparked off over the Habbox.eu domain which wasn't anything permanent and has been fixed.

I personally disagree with your points but fair enough that is your opinion although I feel you are misinformed regarding many of the points you brought up. Even if there are problems, which I personally don't think there are, you can't blame one person for that as all big decisions on Habbox are joint decisions between the management and are not just down to one person.

If you feel that there are areas of the Habbox site which are out dated please PM me linking to them directly. So far many areas of the site are being sorted out at the moment now that we have built up a stronger team however most of the content should be up to date. If any isn't, if you could please show me I will ensure that it is deal with as soon as possible. :)

I think Habbox is running smoothly although i have some issues with some of the points from Management its not getting 1 user a day, Its still here your still on it?

Personally I think it's unfair to blame MAD for everything. Things like the rep system weren't decided on by him and him alone - the whole General Management team had a say in it.

Hmmm, true. He seems to think things have to change, when things were perfectly alright to begin with, or only required a small change.

The rep system is now practically useless

- The change was pretty drastic, it only needed slight tweaking.

Habbox.eu domain was VERY pointless

- This was because of DNS issues. It was either that or close it, even though I'm not sure where the domain name came from in the first place :P

- Again true, the whole site needs it. It is very uninteresting to look at, so nothing draws your attention to anywhere. I don't see why it takes long to change things. It takes me a day (with the help of Mentor) to change a layout, although that only took an hour... And pages take a few minutes to edit. He needs to motivate his staff AND take away jobs some AGMs, they only need to be department managers, not AGMs. The only reason for the AGM title is for their ideas for something, which a Department Manager should have anyway, if it effects their area.

This is true. It always picks up on this same issue. He talks down to people, not to them. Which is why (from the majority of staff and members I've taked to in private) we think he is a crap GM. Most of the managers and staff are aware he was chosen purely because he was the only one available at the time. Which is clear, because he doesn't know what he is doing. He hasn't got an open mind, he only believes in his beliefs for most of the time.

MAD does listen, he's always asking the council their opinions and suggestions on HxF etc.

MAD just got owned lol.

There was a reason for the HxC (Habbox Council). I personally don't blame mad for any miss happenings. I do think the rep thing was a little OTT because I thought the only reason they didn't ecourage pointless rep is so they could make more money selling the rep, but they seemed to have taken that away so why do they care about pointless rep, it doesn't effect them, this is one question that still hasn't been answered.

It was being only used for pointless reputation before. MAD didn't soley decide on the idea. The Admins, AGM's and Sierk decided with him. MAD may not of even bought the idea up.

From what I can gather, it was either that for a few days to a week or no site. There was some server errors and whatnot so it HAD to be transferred tempoarily or there was no site. It's back to .com now :)

With new content designers being hired and a new manager it is in the process of being updated. If you notice the Rare Watch page has has a massive updat, the management and job openings pages are being regularly updated, new guides are being added and much more.

The majority of forum members may actually like the idea but there is always a bunch of people who disagree. Critics if you must. Every management everywhere has these.

I dont know where you came up with that, but you are saying that 24,283 members/people want a new GM? I think that statement is hugely incorrect.

In regards to that comment, the content itself should be fairly up to date and will be brought up to the correct standard very soon if it is not there already. I've only just taken over the content design department so getting all the content up to scratch is the main thing before we start thinking about changing the layout. You may think it doesn't take long to change things in terms of the design of the site however it does take time. Everything has to be thought through and it must all work with the content and the software the site uses and the site has to be designed and improved to the point in which we feel it is definitely an improvement on the old design. The changes to the site will indeed be worked on and the design will most likely be changed however at the moment the most important thing is to ensure that the site is continually updated with new content and that the content currently on the site is up to date.

The design is very important and I agree however personally I don't think the current design is bad although it does need and update to it but I don't think this is something that needs priority and needs to be rushed - I want to concentrate on dealing with the content before we start on redesigning site, if this is needed. A different colour scheme and some changes may be needed but this will take time to ensure that the new design or changes are an improvement and they do not compromise the content and software already working well with the current site.

Again, if you see anything outdated in terms of content make sure that you PM me and I'll deal with it. :)

The Rare Watch update was thanks to me offering 088! to use the information and images provided on my Furni Watch pages.

You work with the majority, not with the minority. Again, I use the example of the ClubTropica Catagory, which hasn't had a good reason for existing yet.

If MAD doesn't want the blame, why does he announce it as if he came up and done the update/changes? That's why the AGMs and Forum Management need to be mentioned, or if they did the update, they should mention it. This is happening slowly, thankfully.

As GM he should of been updating the content designers, not spending time looking over the forum. In the past, the GM was in charge of the site mainly, and since MAD has arrived he's spent too long palying with the forum. It's J1MI's task to handle the forum, considering he is the forum manager.

And 70% of active members want it, not the mebers which have probably been and gone. I think this percentage is nearly accurate too, perhaps 50%-65% is more accurate. This is talking to aload of members and staff every now and again, to see what they want.

Anyway, all what I've said has come from discussions with members and staff.

He should really ask the council himself, not use nvrspk4 as puppet, which I believe nvrspk4 isn't too happy about judging by some of the comments in the forum.

What were the content designers doing before you took on the job, that's what I wonder :P Is it wise to take on a job, when you manage HabboxWorld? I'll send you a PM with a few ideas from members, or raise it in the council forums. Depending which is easier. If you get a big enough team, you could do both. Editing the site and the content.

Since then there has been a more recent update done by Tweety who is now in charge of Rare Watch. :) This included the addition of a "Recoloured Normals" page and updating of the rare watch pages in general.

Before I took the job the department was fine however the switch over period between managers and whatnot meant that some of the content become out dated however now that we have a good team together there should be no reason for that any more. Additionally as I have said before, I do manage HabboxWorld and when I feel that I cannot handle the jobs that I am currently occupying, I will undoubtedly step down. I wouldn't ever occupy a job in which I feel that I am not putting effort in and that someone else could manage that department better. Also if you would PM me with your feelings and ideas I'd be very much appreciative. I will consider the changes to the site and speak to some of the general management however I do still feel that concentrating on updating the site content and addition of new content is more important than a new site design and takes priority however of course this will need to be done at some point and it is planned. Of course my feelings on how we should go about the updating of the site and whatnot is my opinion and your opinion and anyone else's regarding these matters are very much appreciated, thanks.
