i use it for the service record detail, and to find out what medals i've got etc.
it tells you your rank, how much to next rank, skill, top skill, all the medals you earnt, your top kills, how many times u died, how many kills you made, etc.
I've been using it since ye olde days of halo 2 :P
It's fantastic, one of the reasons I prefer halo to call of duty.
