The Beatles, Queen and Iron Maiden were, in my opinion, the best things to come from Britain...

Queen & Iron Maiden definitely.
radiohead a'course. and blur and the smiths and all that good jazz.
Iron Maiden, when I saw them live it was the best show I've been to.
iron maiden for sure, i dont like them that much, but they are pretty amazing.
radiohead also, even tho i dont like them at all.
some people will probably laugh/hate but i also think bands like klaxons deserve a mention. they've started a whole genre on their own, that's worth something. plus artists like lethal bizzle and dizzee rascal, they bridged the gap between grime/hip-hop and indie, two completely different genres. i think they deserve a mention also. regardless of what you think :P
