Well we get ema bonuses now and then (around £100) and some one told me that were getting an easter ema bonus, so does any one know if this is true or not?

You only get EMA bonuses in January and June because of exams; it's a bonus for completing examinations. And yeah, if you're parents earn under £30,000 per year, you're eligible for EMA. I wish I was, free money... You can earn a maximum of £30 a week.
Theres no easter one as far as I know.
We get £100 bonuses in january, march and june, and they are for good attendance levels and january one is for if you come back for your second year.
Don't think we get an easter bonus. Usually get it January and June. Hope I do get an Easter Bonus though! Haha.

You can still get it in other Cases for example:
My Parents are divorced , my mum doesnt work she does charity work however my dad has to pay her maintaince allowance for her mortage & Food , bills etc that makes me able to get EMA £30.00 even though my dad earns near £100,000 a year.
Theres ways around it if you dont quailfy you just gotta know what to look for .

i'm against EMA in some circumstances.
my mate gets tonnes of money for EMA cause he's autistic, he gets loadsa money a week, tonnes of bonuses (enough to buy himself top-end PS3s, 360s and Wiis). And y'know what? He lives in 750k+ house and his parents are loaded. Why is EMA needed here?
I don't need EMA. I have enough money. I think it's a good idea for those that NEED it. Why are bonuses given out? Why is money given for completed coursework? Makes no sense to me, it's to pay for the maintenance of your education. AKA Stationary, Bus Passes, Food, Essential trips.

i want EMA but my mum earns way over £30,000 my dad earns only £18,000 but his gf earns way over £30,000 too so i don't get EMA
i want my dad to kick her out so i can get EMA, then get her back lol :)

Your parents could get an accountant, and they can make it look like your earning less that you are.
Well that's what my uncle does, he deals with mortgages for different companies, so he doesn't have a pay slip.
So my cousins get £30 ema, when really they shouldn't :rolleyes:
