How? just how?

I want to make a fansite like habbox i just dont have a clue how they made theres at all
Could you shed some light on how you can make a site like that?

Joomla, with a customized layout.

www.joomla.org if you're using cPanel you can install Joomla via fantasisco (The easy way)

All of the content is managed by Joomla, there is a seperate rare values script, but there are many released scripts that do the same job, you can even get them in DJ Panel's, such as HabboSitePanel or RadioDJPanel (I think it's called that, I can't remember)

edit: This forum is powered by vBulletin, which cost's money! Joomla is free.

Of course, here, I have put a little guide in for you,

Stuff you need:
- vBulletin
- Domain
- Extra features to add to your forum/fansite
- And money to purchase those ;d

Well I registered on Joomla and i get the concept of it

Search the forum.

My advice... if you don't know anything about it, don't start a fansite! (or any site!)

Or if you REALLY want a site that bad, get a site/general manager who knows what he's doing to help you out.


Edit: And I hope you have the funds to run a site, becouse they do cost money, if you want a good site which people want to vist.
(things like hosting, advertising, radio, forum software, skin designs etc)

First you need a host, so sign up to one of these websites;

www.x10hosting.com
www.awardspace.com
www.t35.com

Once you have signed up, you will need a content manager (unless you can code) So download 1 of these scripts;

www.cutephp.com << For news only
www.joomla.org/

Now go to the file manager on the host you chose, and upload joomla or cutenews.

If you uploaded cutenews go to yoursite.com/cutenews/install.php and follow the instructions to install it, if you chose joomla read this guide.

My advice.

Start off with a Freewebs site.

Learn websource coding, layouts and templates.

Learn everything!

Then attempt

Also research.

Yeh I started with freewebs in school, then went a little custom, then free hosts and slowly progressed.
