Seriously fed up

For almost 3/4 years now I've spent practically everyday online talking to people and my girlfriend, and at the time it was okay, it was something fun to do and I guess I was addicated to it. Over time I lost the people who I spoke to, mainly due to my girlfriend controlling who I do and don't talk to and I just spoke to my girlfriend for 3 years, and now we are meeting and everything and it's great but the thing is, she always leaves planning meeting to the last minute which means we don't have enough time to sort it and the trains cost a fortune and I'm not going to pay £30 when I could have planned £15 if we planned it sooner.

As well as that, we have nothing to talk about anymore, and I'm sick of being online. It's the same old thing everyday and it's isn't as good anymore but the thing is, I'm really crap at going out there, socializing and making friends and even if I could there is no where around here to go to meet people besides college and I doubt I'd even get in.

I don't know what to do about it anymore, I'm seriously depressed from having such a crap life and talking to the same people all day, I just shut myself away and I'm so bored of it now. I just don't know how to go out there and get a life. :(

Go pubs/clubs?

You're bound to make friends that way.
If that ain't your thing then try a new hobby or something to get you away from the computer.
Go the gym or something? Get fit and meet new people :D.

They're just a few suggestions but I'm sure there is loads more.

Join a group?

Dump her. relationships should be equal, not one way.

those are good ideas but if this guy is like me and hates going to pubs and clubs alone it won't help :P

It's hard to suggest things if you're not good at socializing. Hmm, do you still go to college/school? Maybe trying to make more/new friends there would help? :)

As I say to many people, you have a whole life a head of you, sometimes it's hard to make new friends, I understand; perhaps ring some school friends or whatever and organise a day out? Even if it's just up town or something.

I'm not at college at the moment but I've applied and I'm waiting to hear from them for the interview, if I get one. So, I'm hoping I'll get some friends there.

I used to be exactly like that, i joined a sports club and just went out as much as i could, for example shopping, cinemas. So i know how you feel and about your girlfriend, it shouldn't be her deciding it all, so i would have a chat with her and see if you can sort it out, and if not then you know she is not the one for you and you have to move on with your life, plus i hope i understood correct this is a e-dating gf? Well maybe if you wern't with her you wouldn't be online so much.

For two years, it was e-dating but we meet up in november last year and we've meet up a few times since them and stuff so it's more of a LDR.

And then surely that makes you be online so much?

elaborating on my other post,
Check on google for groups in your area, or even ask freinds.. Theres ones that could be your hobbies, or just youth groups or even groups for gay and bi people if you swing that way lol.

and as for the girlfreind, Tell her to make sure she doesnt plan anything for that day, tell her how you feel.

LDR is long distance relationship lol. And, I guess in some way it does.

My girlfriend knows how i feel about it and stuff, but I'll do that. :)

get in touch with old friends, make plans to go out etcetc, from there you'll meet new friends, and generally over time you'll start becoming more socialable. you just really need to go out there and get on with life, once you do you'll feel so much better in life and in yourself, trust me. also letting someone else control your life isn't the best of things to do, it's your life and although she may be your girlfriend it's down to you what you do, don't let her hold you back.

You could try staying with her for a few nights too..

I can completly emphasize with you, like some of the friends I've made 'Online' have like gone off or we seem to never talk anymore.. =[

She just says that she won't change how she is, and I've spent nights with her before but it's hard to do it because her mom hates me and it takes a while to get her to agree to it.
