There's my point.
If persons are allowed, by law, to play the National Lottery and buy scratch cards at the age of 16 - why are they unable to place a bet on a horse or any other sport? Is this the government with their crazy schemes? Have Camelot paid-off the government or something?
Anyway, your views.
P.S - Won £5 on my first scratch card ever yesterday :P
There's no real point in that post other then "they can play scratchcards so why not bet"
I think in casinos it should stay the same because if it were to change then laws about drinking alcohol and crap would have to change and it'd be too much of a hassle to make sure that people are the proper age.
Horse betting I don't really care about and I've never really heard of any 16 year olds that even care about that..
I think that to keep up with 'morals' ages should stay the same because then for the sake of parents and what not they could rest easily thinking that their kids aren't going out and betting in bars on boxing fights and such.
Put simply; It's fine how it is.
in the united states, it would be because the money made from lotto goes directly to the state. so they want as many people playing as they can. gambling, depending on the state and circumstances, they get little to no money out of it. so they use the moral question.
No, because they'll end up gambleing money they don't have or they'll use their parents credit cards on online casinos and get their family in major debt

I do enjoy a bit of gambling (although I haven't experienced it fully). If the age was reduced to 16, I believe that some people wouldn't be sensible as many people don't appreciate the value of money at 16.
They'll just get addicted and end up in council flats at the end. No point really.
Personally, I think that'd be a bad idea, for myself anyway..
Im too much of a risk taker.
And would most likely gamble all my money away, like straight away.

I dont think you should be able to until 25 :P becuase then you have money and your life on track i think and when your 18 you could end up in some debt before even securing your future!
