According to this thread the automatic moderation system should have been starting (around) the 16th april.
Any ideas when it is actually going to start?

I think it already has? I am seeing some members complaining about cautions now because of warnings.
Yeah i've seen alot more cautions too.
They could of warned us?
aha.
It is allready in place you just don't really notice unless you are part of the team who is issueing the bans and giving infractions.
However there is a problem with the warnings, you will still recieve a PM if you are issued with one for now.

I think --ss-- and Minty know why I posted this. And it has started... :eusa_whis
Edited by jesus (Forum Super Moderator): Please do not post pointlessly.
I didnt know it started they should have said
Good job I'm big enough to admit I didn't read the whole of yoshis post. :)
I was replying to Gomme's post also, as he still seemed to think that PMs weren't being received even after yoshi stated otherwise.
I asked Elkaa about the automatic banning system earlier but I'm not allowed if I can say his reply. I don't see why it's so concerning as we already ban or caution people for infraction counts. :)
Why does Elkaa have a thing about not telling people about stuff which is supposedly secret? Habbox is a fansite, not a company and telling people things about the moderator system doesn't really change anything. Besides, most things that are 'behind the scenes' are obvious when someone either posts about them, or we see members being banned.
Hmm truee or the fact current staff blurt out "secerts" to non staff.
Muahhh.
Jesus is mean to me too :'(
Actually my geography teacher said she was Jesus today because her bday is on 25/12, hmm... :P
Trust me, there are a couple of secrets that are staying that way ;) At least until MAD gets bored of keeping them :P
It's either that or telling him off, and I don't want to face hell :(
Some secrets aren't known, but as far as people see it, the moderator system pretty much is seen by members by what you do and your actions. Other than the completely crazy decisions which end up getting reported in the feedback forum anyway.
Considering we are bring Elkaa up, when mods had to remove their emails from profiles i wanted a password reset asked via msn, he ignored me and then when he did speak he didnt help me anymore then a brick wall.
WOOO, i still love him though.
I really do agree with you here Gomme. I am not sure if it is still the intention to dispense with them or not in the forseeable future. As you say how can it be a warning if you don't know about it? Not sure what the logic is here.
Maybe to cut number of complaining pms in return but that will always happen with a selected few - that's part of a mods life really and you get used to it. Before the automatic system we sent pms so members have always been informed. If it is going to be introduced at sometime in the future people are going to check their user CP and have a shock or worst if they don't check at all could end up cautioned with no opportunity of changing their behaviour.
That is just my personal opinion though.
PMs will be issued along side a warning and will stay like that :).
This will be fun. :D
To be honest, the moderator system is just the forum rules, there isn't a lot more than that except some behind the scenes red-tape which doesn't have a visible effect on the forum. If you don't break them, you're likely to have few encounters with it, and the encounters you do have will be stories of mods making mistakes or people moaning because they have infractions, it gives a pretty warped view tbh.
I doubt I could find much in the mod guide that I'd get fired for telling you, what you see is pretty much what you get.
I only thought it was because I saw someone get a warning then 10 seconds later they were cautioned, but I suppose thats just quick work on the smod's side :PQuote:
It was pure speculation that the autobans had already come inplace, when they had not.
They are, however, now inplace and the automatic banning of accounts will begin at 4pm.
There's no need to break any forum rules in the first place so you shouldn't be so worried. :)
I scanned through everything so I don't know if this has already been explained, but is this rule still in position when it comes to 'already existing' infractions? Do you have to have 5 active infractions to gain a ban, or when you've HAD 5 infractions?
I also want to know if people will receive an email when they have received a ban or caution with an included message stating why, or is this a case of the unforgettable "let's not communicate with members and pretend we're bigger than them" which seems to be quite a big problem at the moment. Whoever is in charge of certain areas in Management forget they're part of a social site and completely ignore most issues on their social site, completely breaking down the whole point of a Habbo fansite and of course, forum.
So how comes that hasn't been solved? Drum it into moderators and other super moderators that they need to look at a situation, not a post. They don't have to act immediately and remove a post and warn/infract ASAP. What I don't understand is why you can't let members moderate their behaviour... If someone calls someone a berk, ask the person it was aimed at if they took offense. If they didn't, leave it, or add a very small message somewhere to keep on topic, which isn't necessary either. At least communication between members and moderators will gradually build up, rather than ignore members and take the social low road...
Now it's automated, and can be abused more ;) What happens if a member has an 'unfair warning?' Because I can see people getting ignored, yet again for their actions even when they ask politely...Quote:
It could before.
