The multiplayer capabilities of GTA IV on the PS3 have gone down because of the amount of people trying to get on; the servers have crashed. Not sure what it's like on XBOX, but there are more people accessing it on PS3 today.

Lives working fine.
Bit of a jab for these fanboys..
I just can't wait to buy this tommorow.
shoulda got an xbox
xbox live is so much better than wat eva ps3 have...
The sales of PS3 versions of GTA are higher than XBOX 360, so it stands to reason that more people are accessing m'player.
I'd rather wait a day for multiplayer than have less smooth graphics, less peds and vehicles and bugs.
Search it. I've been reading it everywhere
ps3 just wants to be an xbox 360
simple!
At least we get downloadable maps etc... :)
How can you have a downloadable map for GTA... you can't just add another Island like that...
Both consoles are good can we leave the argument there without urinating fanboyism everywhere...
Its fine on the 360 servers ;D
more units sold..
You can say the xbox was trying to be a new ps2 though. Anyway, whats the multiplayer like?
You ask anyone that isn't a console fanboy and they would probably say Xbox Live is far superior.
Does the PS3 have a friends system yet, out of curiosity?
Im not a fanboy and I would say live. I've ne'er been on psn or live but I think my answers been clouded by xbox fans lol.
I have both Ps3 And Xbox and i would say Xbox Live is far far better. But i guess you get what you pay for. Had problems with ps3 online on fifa 08 and a few other games. never had a problem with Xbox Live.
I do however like them both.
Peds as in pedestrians? Make it easier to gain a wanted level if you accidently hit one. Theres plenty on xbox, so that doesn't bother me.
Less smooth graphics? I personally have seen no problems. Plenty of vehicles as well, and not noticed a single bug (except he got caught on a vehicle I'd placed obstructing a mission start - although it skipped 2 footsteps to the next scene) at 40% progress.
the reason for installation was that you never have to go through a single loading screen form start to finish on the ps3, whereas you have a load on 360.
You still have to load at some points in the game.
Now you're just making stuff up haha.
The reason for the installation is to reduce load times, because the Blu-Ray format's read speed is incredibly slow compared to DVD. The PS3 copies data to the hard drive, therefore reducing load times but it will still need to load obviously.
I personally don't see any difference in either version. I was playing the PS3 version last night at my friends' after I had a go of the 360 one at mines. Load times are similar, graphics are basically the same, in fact, the only thing added was the SixAxis support which I don't see the point in.
