Stay Alert Gum

I ordered 2 packs of stay alert gum day before yesterday (should be here this morning as the place they come from are just outside my county :P)

Anyway its chewing gum which comes in 4 different flavours.. Arctic Mint, Cinnamon, Ice Mint and Cool Mint flavour. basically they are used in the army (and the war) to help soldiers stay awake if they are tired etc

has 100mg caffeine in each piece of gum (so thats 20mg more than 1 can of redbull - without the extra ingredients 'watering it down' - and you get 5 pieces in each pack (£1 each)

I bought some for getting me up in the mornings when school starts again lol

Anyone ever tried them? if so do you feel them work? :P

anyway if you want help getting up in the morning or if you wanna hype yourself up (requires 200mg caffeine - 2 pieces at same time :P) then buy em from http://www.stayalertgum.co.uk

They are safe btw well they are unless you eat 2 packs of them at same time

I ordered them about a month ago but it got hold up so they said they gonna give me an extra pack but they seem to be ignoring my emails :@ could of saved me money aswell

No you can only get them from that site and few other sites, not any shops they mainly only started releasing them to the public.

Also their support and delivery is awful


Took them three days to answer my email and they don't answer emails nicely, I just asked about a free pack of gum I should be getting and all they did was attached a pdf file showing my order and its says on there a pack of free gum is coming with it

Dunno but taking 2 of these has almost the same caffeine in them as cocaine energy drink which has 250mg

Would be good in the morning for me then.

Depending what flavour

I read reviews and it said that for about 3 minutes it tastes nice (depends if its mint or cinnamon) and then the taste goes after those 3 minutes replacing it with bitter taste (caffeine taste) but you only have to put up with that for 2 more minutes, then you can spit it out :P

ugh **** you can't even keep them in your mouth for 2 minutes let alone 5 minutes :eusa_sick

The bitter taste of caffeine kicks in few seconds after chewing and makes you heave lmao apart from that they work really well and I feel wide awake after chewing on two :)

and for people that rely on things such as caffiene to keep them awake, lol@you

the army dont use this, they use wrigleys extra.

if the army does use it it wont be for sale on the internet as it will be brought out by the MOD


and if they do use it it will be "use at your own risk and pay with your own money" sort of thing.

Bought 2 packets, might aswell try it out :P

Wrigleys made stay alert gum. Its only just started selling to the public though and was approved effective and safe to use in 2005 by Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and America bought loads of cases of it for American soldiers

also I've chewed one packet all ready :P you get used to the bitter taste and I don't recommend chewing 3 in less than 5 minutes hypes you up a bit lol

the british army uses this powder called orange/lemon powder.

theres two ways of taking it but on one is reccomended. you can sniff it for a QUICK boost or drink it for a boost that slowly kicks in.

chewing gum is sloppy and useless, and 2 packs will make you ill? americans will eat like 4 packs a day.

it's ok when you're like sucking on the sweet but when you bite into it all the caffeine comes out and it's bloody horrible.
i've got 2 packs left of it, so i'll probably just make my friends eat them ;D
