Habbox Staff are a part of Habbox too. They have the same rights as normal users to vote for their choice. It's not like Mad or Sierk are saying, 'Oh vote that the moderation standards are high' (that was just example btw).
Habbox Staff still have their own opinions and therefore if they think the moderation standards are bad (just an example again, lmao), I'm sure they'd pick that...
Indeed. I don't tend to vote anyway but I would vote for what I think is right.
Regardless of their status on the forum they're still going to have different views. I know for a fact all staff don't share the same thoughts. Just because they're staff it doesn't mean they're going to have their vote influenced. They will vote what is best for them as an individual.
The vote is entirely influenced - you're not going to say that the forum response is slow if your a forum moderator or management are you?

I work for Habbox, and I hate a lot of the stuff they do.
So no, I don't think Habbox Staff would give biased results.
Although, there is a rule that Staff cannot criticise Habbox in public, so I suppose we are forced down the path of agreeing with management.

So you'd staff the other masses of staff members from voting. Perhaps an Articles writer might think the forum response is slow. I'm management, do I think Habbox is pefect? Of course it's not. Maybe, that's how you'd react and vote but certainly not everybody.Quote:

I think you are forgetting Habbox is for staff too. All the staff are people from within the community. No-one works here under a contract, they work here in voluntary positions therefore their votes would not be biased but rather how they see things from their perspective.

Saying its amazing wouldn't be true. Theres faults in almost everything on Habbox which can be improved or altered to make it better.
WRONG. They should be allowed to vote and you wouldn't believe how many honest Habbox Staff members there are... Loads disagree with how Habbox is run as do loads agree, so no, they should be allowed to vote...
I agree they should be allowed to vote as they are members as well as staff and overall have valid opinions. There are very few 'yes' men as far as I can see.
Indeed they should be able to vote, what really pisses me off though is when something in Habbox Feedback appears as a complaint against Habbox, a news reporter or DJ goes all defensive as if they own the site, and generally sucking-up instead of contributing anything valuable to the complaint. That's different though :P
As a staff member, my vote would only be directed to what proves best for Habbox's users and staff alike. I don’t think both parties should be seen as separate entities at all. All questions provided in the polls are aimed at bettering a user and staff members day to day experience when making use of Habbox.
Also, any changes that may be made when taking the feedback received from the polls has an equally great effect on staff as well, so why should staff members not have the right to a say in something that will also affect us on a long term basis.
Of course staff should be allowed, they're members too, and should contribute in polls. One area that does worry me though is new members voting on issues that sometimes they couldn't possibly give an honest opinion on.

I mean if a super moderator thought that the moderation overall was bad, and posted a comment saying it was crap... I have a feeling that something would be done...
As long they are not the admins or whatever, I think they should be given a choice to vote. Imagine a president voting for himself :P As long they are given equal rights as a voting as compared to a normal member, i think this is ok.
If the moderation really is slow to respond then I'm sure that 10 moderators won't really swing the difference that much. We work to create a good environment for our staff as well as our members. And staff are honest, sometimes they may "disagree with popular opinion" because they see the other side that nobody else cares to listen to, but if something is genuinely wrong 90% of staff who think its wrong would vote accordingly.
That's a fair concern but I don't think there's any way to bar voting by Join Date, and I don't think the star groups are a good way to decide as a high post count is not necessarily synonymous with an understanding of how things work at Habbox, or an understanding of the community even.Quote:
