You can get 500GB ones for like 60 quid I think I saw on eBuyer.
They're not very expensive. Of course, you wouldn't need 500GB but you'd never run out of space!
The 1TB are only about £100, but didn't know if a external harddrive was worth buying
Definitely. I got one a while ago, although it was only 80gb it was really quite small/portable. Better than a memory stick but not too big to bother you. (Unless you wanted it to keep it in your pocket or whatever).Quote:

Yeah they're very good, well worth it.
It depends how much space you're planning on using, 1TB will do you for the rest of your life while 500GB will keep you busy for a few years, if you are using it for films. I suggest one by Freecom, because it has the on/off switch and they're very reliable.

I heard buying two 500GB is cheaper then 1tb.

The Western digital 500gb Elements (which is the one mentioned on ebuyer earlier) is quite good but does have one or two flaws attached to it including that of extended daily use and corruption

Not a fan of Western Digital drives personally.
i bought a 500GB One couple days ago they are very good i transsfered all my files to it n my pc is fast i got mine from makro cash and carry and it was around 55 quid
