RROD

2-3 week old Xbox360, RROD.
3 Red rings, right?
I had it before sometimes though it just went green a few minutes after, it's 3 not 4.
Im so pissed off right now, but anyway!

so has it went back green? that happend to mine then went back red and stayed like that, got it back the other day with a silver face plate for some reason :| cant press the button to search for a pad, got to take it off to do that :( anyway, you will probably have to send it off soon. unlucky :(

Aye, I am so pissed, going to try and get something off M$.
Where do I send it too, where do I request the coffin etc?
It's only 2-3 weeks old aswell, what can I say?
Its not going back to green.

i had to send mine to germany took about 2 weeks, my contacted xbox about it all so i wouldnt know sorry, but i think there will be people on here who do know.

Should of got a PS3 :eusa_whis

What exactly is this RROD? How come they haven't fixed this thing yet?

its a common problem with the xbox its hardware failure mine was with my motherboard.

Sux to be Xbox owner.

well i got a letter with my xbox with a list of hardware in the xbox which was, power supply, dvd drive, controllers ports, mother board & other, and they ticked the mother board. but xbox is well worth having its a great console and online is amazing.

I fixed it!
The power supply was showing orange, I googled that and it said try and push both power cable ends into the xbox360 and power brick as hard as you can, and it worked!
Thank Goodness for that

it will probably happen again though, like it did to mine :(

I had it, sent off, new one, good as!

Lil' bit off topic but if your Xbox's warranty is over will you have to pay for it to be fixed?

No, RROD is a hardware fault so they fix it free.

Sometimes a certain amount of lights means you need to change your fuse or the wires aren't connected properly.

i get RROD all the time just unplug hard drive and wait 5-10 mins for cool down :P

If its 2-3 weeks old try and take it back to the shop?

And my 360 was sent back after a week, no quibble. It was on easter sunday when it broke and MS support line was fantastic.

If it's done it once it's likely to happen again. Keep going with it and if it keeps hapenning it's best to send it back. I got mine 3 weeks ago and it's been cool :)

I thought it was broken when I got mine back. They put a plastic cover over my disc tray(or just shipped a new 360!) and I didn't see it. Spent 5 minutes thinking the disc tray was jammed.
