PLEASE DELETE.
DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED HERE?
XP ^_^
Windows XP, slowly going to Vista (80+ Machines)
Mac OSX in the Media Suites (about 35 computers)
Windows XP
college, xp, the best imo
IT was Windows 2000/XP when I went to school and college, Vista wasn't even invented when I was there! :(
My college uses Windows XP but a few computers are macs as well.
Osx tiger
osx lepored
osx panther
windows xp
windows 2000 server
Linux ubunta
what ever those eee pc's use
XP and OSX Leopard :) - There are some that are still running 2000 I think however.
.:; Johno
All systems in the school run on XP as a guideline. Although they're on XP, they have good specs, some use the windows 98 theme and some use the blue one.
xp for every computer.. A/v & art is on vista
XP for normal PCs, Mac OS (not sure which version) for music
Windows XP all over with RM Community Connect 3 on it. But I don't go to school anymore.
Windows XP, but in my old school in England they used Macs.
I school upgraded all our computers to some Dell optiplex things with Core2Duo procs. Also have the 3GHz iMacs with a few older iMacs... Which I never get to use thank god :P
XP and Leopard
All computers are XP on on Windows Server 2003.
There's a few Tiger's in Art though, don't worry they're all broken :P
well RM dont have any software produced for vista atm do they, and quite a lot of schools run from that
so xp for mee
My college and school both used XP.
Vista & OS X.
XP obv. We have loads and loads and loads of computers though. :)
EDIT: Next year one of the Music Rooms is getting refurbished with AppleMac's. :D
They're too smart to pay for Apple systems as they're too expensive. They're smart here, they upgraded all the computers from Vista to XP, yes I mean upgraded. So hopefully we will never have to use Vista.
My school use XP for all the PC's in the school (well over 200)
But in the Art, graphics and music rooms we have Mac suites :)
Windows Visterz
Windows XP and Vista; has about 300 computers.
Windows Vista in the ICT department, XP in the library computer suite, xp in the language labs, OSX in the art department
Windows 3.1
Naa, Windows XP.
Next year, we get linux laptops though :P
Windows XP and OSX
Windows XP all over with RM Community Connect 3 on it. I hate it. When everyone is logging in in a ICT class its like MAJOR LAG! and when i go in the technicians room the server is like flashing like hell etc its going crazy lol. But we have these "NEW" RM computers meant to have Vista Basic on but school downgraded them and they have 1GB RAM etc but its all done on network. Why the hell cant they use cache! its a lovely invention!
So you insult me by saying I have no knowledge of hardware nor software because I rather back XP as opposed to Vista? That's ridiculous. It's personal preference. I don't care if Vista is supposed to have improved RAM management, it's pointless due to how much more system resources Vista occupies. (I've been forced to use Vista on my laptop for a year now) the user account control is pointless, many useful applications are incompatible with Vista (including a handful of games. FS9 wont work for many with the aero experience, and I've tried it on two Vista machines to discover that my display driver fails..not impressed). My Intel Centrino Duo came with Home Premium, and I couldn't even handle the aero-experience without sticking an extra 2gbs of ram in my system. XP beats Vista in benchmarking tests (quite disappointing, seeing as it's with SP1) http://news.cnet.com/Windows-XP-outs...3-6220201.html . Here's a breakdown I got from http://blogulate.com/content/xp-beats-windows-vista/:

The only features I admire on Vista are the indexing feature and the extra undo options in mspaint. I can get Google desktop and get indexing on XP.
The minimum specifications for XP are also much lower than Vista. HTC is selling 800mhz CPU, 512MB UMPCs equipped with Vista...that’s totally ridiculous.
