Just a thread regarding spoilers in the entertainment section; you could use this thread as an example:

I understand not revealing the information on the thread title; but why should we have to use spoiler tags within the post if it's obvious that it's giving information about TV shows out?
I'm not sure if that made sense, but there's no point in using spoilers when the thread is obviously going to be spoiling the information...
I don't even understand why you need spoiler tags in the big brother forum anyway.
Spoilers serve no real purpose in Live TV shows or in threads where the title is a big giveaway :/
agreed, the use of spoilers is getting ridiculous. If you go into a thread called, for example, dr who: last episode discussion, its bound to reveal info on it in every post. The moderators have had to edit a tonne of posts in a lot of the entertainment threads because they all talk about one thing that's in a spoiler so its classed as spoiler info.
I think you should just have a warning thread saying it is not necessary to use spoilers in threads but it is recommended etc

I think it just needs to be delivered into the moderation procedure and made clear as to what we should and shouldn't do as yes it can get silly having a thread full of spoilers when you can just put it in the title, and if you choose to read the thread yu can't blame anyone for giving anything away.
I got infracted for discussing a 2 day old news which was officially released by big brother. ColdPlay should re-read he defenition of the word spoiler.
I wish the Moderator's would spend their time implementing spoilers into posts with huge images that stretch the page, it would be time spent much more wisely :P
Yes but most people don't look at the website for every single update, so people don't want information revealed to them before they watch it on the big brother so it is fair to put spoilers but as far as spoiler tags in a thread Moderators just enforce the rules we don't make them ;)Quote:

I haven't read most of the posts but I replied to a BB thread saying what happened in a past catch up episode and was told to use spoilers by a moderator. I know someone may have not seen it but it's already happened. It's not like a soap or something where I read somethings going to happen and no-ones seen it yet.
Spoliers in the BB thread are pointless because if they don't find out via the forum, they will some other way because it'll be on a few sites as news
Well as far as I am aware it is not allowed to post things that haven't been shown (Without spoilers) but it is fine to post things that have been shown, so I don't know why it happened.
The rule is, to clear this up
Anyhtign which reveals information, should be spoiled, despite age.

You said who was evicted, which people may not want to know, I know the rule is stupid but at the end of the day it's the rule? It's not like that spoiler changes YOUR life or forum record?

If ALL information is spoilered, then surely a big, bold warning in the forum description should be "WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS" which will make it easier than getting everyone to post their findings in spoilers? I don't get why the spoiler tags exists, when thread titles are a giveaway and if you don't want to know what happened in Doctor Who or Big Brother, then you simply don't check the forums :SQuote:

For as long as spoiler tags have been on the forum, people have been "asked" to put spoiler tags in their threads via a stuck thread in the relavent entertainment forums.
