First impressions that I get are 'professional' and 'nice banner'. :P
Yeah, looks pretty nice really. I'd recommend changing the colour of the background and forums to the kind of shiny white that you used for the navigation bar. :)

Very nice. Colors aren't too light, they actually work out quite well. I think the icons for the different forum sections throws it off a little, but they still look very nice.
