Child Beauty Pageants?

So with JonBenet's parents recently being cleared for her murder and that show being aired in the UK about that young Sasha girl, I checked out some pageants that were on youtube.

From what I seem to get from watching them all, is that it's definitely the mum's trying to get some sort of gratification from it all. They are all ugly and fat (ironically) It definitely seems somewhat perversed and just creepy! But have a watch :)

That Sasha girl didn't even want to do it, her mother wanted her to.

Most children are forced into these things, or brainwashed into believeing that they want to do them. I find beauty pagents disgusting to be quite honest. They're the exact oposite of what beauty really is.

beauty pagaents shouldn't be something a child is forced to do before they can make their own decisions.

I agree with the other people that the parents want it more than the kids.

Little girl peagants are sooo wrong. Some of them are so dolled up they don't even look real! It's disgusting to say the least, and very very far from anything "beautiful"!

I just threw up a little.

I really think it should be about natural beauty and personality! Putting that amount of makeup on a 6 year old is just wrong. Wouldnt be surprised if they end up with terrible skin when there older. And dying there hair and using that amount of hair spray is just going to leave them with nasty thin, dry and split endy hair.
With that whole sasha thing, i dont think she enjoyed it that much. I really think that was the mum pushing her in to it.

i just think it's really weird, it's parents trying to live through their kids and it's not right, they're piling make up, fake tan & skimpy clothes onto little kids. They're just going to grow up to fast & prob all end up teenage mums.
