Underslug Grenade launchers.
i personally think theyre useless as their is only a record of 12 kills with them in their 5 year service in iraq.
it does belong here as technically its a gadget.

First time I have heard of them but looking at the stats you provided they do seem kinda pointless. 12 Kills in 1 year is kinda bad, never mind 5 years. Thanks for posting. :)

well no as they SA80 without a UGL has had HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of kills just this year in southern iraq.
they have a tiny blast radius but if direct hits can be VERY fatal
well one guy didnt die he just had very hot shards into his face spine and brain which was a miracle he was killed.
You do realise, an SA80 is a rifle?
are you talking to me? because RAH if you are.
Any idea how many times they've actually been used?
Because 12 kills in 5 years could be pretty decent if it's only been fired say, 13 times.
2 in 9 are issued with UGL's
I guess its pretty low, but its always good to have something just incase you need them. Now if it was like 0 kills in 5 years then they are pretty pointless in my opinion.
I bet the guys who used them to kill the 12 people wouldn't call them a waste of space.
Read Sniper One by Sgt. Andy Mills. His platoon were using them every almost every engagement in Al Amarah (sp?) and it saved quite a lot of lives.
i think they good.
Want to reach a target thats far away? use a UGL.
Want to cause a diverion? fire it to the left or right of target.
Yes they are worth the money. They also have that fear factor.
i have read that book and they used them in one engagement when CIMIC house was attacked and they missed both times and he stated that theyre only good for direct hits and thats hard because theyre not streamlined so they wobble in the air
