Chances are the only ones you have open are 80/8080 or port 21.
Okayy
I'm using sky, and it uses UPD.
I cant forward my port becasue it a speical one, Many poeple have this problem and i was wondering if there a way to open a port for a sperfic program. -.-
The only way i can think of is unblock the program in windows firewall.
if you dont have an antivirus or firewall don't even think about openeing a port up then lol
Get an antivirus atleast.
Is it a SkyBroadband connection that comes with a router made by Sagem that looks like a small black/gray sky+ box?
http://free.avg.com/ <-- AVG free link. Get it.
check on www.portforward.com for the model and guide if you haven't already.
They do give them out at random...
If you go to
http://192.168.0.1
And enter the Username: admin
Password: sky
Does it look like this?

Ok this SHOULD work.
Click the security tab then click services .
Then click add underneath the table
You'll have the following things to enter:
Name:<sensiblename>
Type: TCP, UDP, TCP/UDP
Start Port:<port you want open/forwarded>
Finish Port:<^>
After that click apply and go to firewall rules and allow incoming/outgoing(depends) on that port.
What do i type for finish port?
"^"
aye?
Edit: what do i put for finish port LOL
Same as start port as I'm guessing you don't want to open a range.
That way if I put port 3460(random example :P) It would only use that port for the service but if I put 3460 as the start port and 3470 as the finish port it would open 3460, 3470 and every port inbetween the two.
If that made no sense just put it as the same as the start port.
What program are you trying to allow?
what do i type for
thanksQuote:
Send to LAN Server:
WAN Users
how come my router admin page doesn't look like that and im with sky
Yes I did.
Mines netgear so i have no idea :S
Are you trying to run a server because if not you don't need to open any ports since all the outgoing ports are usually open
