Okay, so I saw some screenshots of the game today and the graphics look great but I haven't played Far Cry, the first one, so I'm unsure of what the game is about etc. Could anybody care to explain? Is it worth getting?

its been getting good review but it aints out till friday so give it a week and wait for some feedback on here first

Not for 40 quid apprently. Good friend of mine got a copy and says its dead good, takes a while to get into but it isn't worth the full 40 whack.
I'll probably pick it up on shift or something.
I've seen it for £37 pre order. The graphics are what's interesting me into buying the game.

Sorry, couldn't resist. I like the Sandbox style of the game, looks pretty good. I reckon it'll be adecent game. Not an amazing one though.

Yeah, a lot of great games are coming out over the next few weeks/couple of months. I might need to rent it first maybe.
It's going to be amazing, imagine just creating the ultimate map and putting sniper towers on the mountains and stuff and just taking people out with them not knowing where you are, imagine how they would react on mic. :P

Althought the firsrt game didn't have amazing graphics it's gotta be one of my favourite games of all time online.

It's a great game, but it's a tiny bit shallow, multiplayer is bigger than I imagined - I'll have a review by the end of next week.

It's a really good game the only bad point is they just throw you into it with no intro :l
That's a bit stupid having no intro. I saw some gameplay of it today on PlayR and it got 9/10.
What do you mean? On story mode I got a really long cut scene of to where you are and what's going on.. :S Plus if you've played Far Cry 1 you don't need a proper long cut scene.Quote:
