It was never Burger King in Australia, as the name was already taken and copyrighted by the time Burger King wanted to move here.

"Hungry Jack's was BK's original franchisee in Australia, but the company could not use the Burger King name at the time because it was already trademarked."

It opened as Burger King, then the name got changed to Hungry Jacks. Anyways, thanks for the -rep.

Let's just let it rest, I live down the road from Hungry Jack's AND my brother worked there when it was called Burger King.
